Best/Worst College Football Uniforms

Best are the simplest: Penn St, Bama in particular. The worst are pretty much anything from Oregon other than their home whites. It sounds dumb, but the fact Oregon has all of these obnoxious & variant unis, makes me feel like they have no identity. It also feels like they’re trying way too hard to be cool.
I generally agree, but Oregon...as much as I don’t like their unis...have made the varying uniforms their identity. Prior to that, they had no football identity to speak of.

Don't see Maryland's uniform where they incorporated the state flag. Easily the worst.
Notre Dame is iconic in that way, too. USC, as well, IMO. Also Texas. I would include Oklahoma, Michigan and Ohio State too, but they all fart around with ugly throwbacks too often for my liking.
Again Pboy your just not well informed! Oregon has all the crazy and ugly uniforms because Phil Knight is one of their biggest supporters. Oregon’s sports uniforms are pretty much Nike’s Uniform guinea pigs. Does the Oregon Basketball Court cause players to Shoot poorly every home game

Maryland's uniforms and helmet with the state flag have to be the worst in college football.
Oregon has several that are bad, but over the years they've had also had several looks that have been trendy or modern that kids would see as being cool. They've effectively made that a huge part of their football tradition.

The 10-15 "helmet" teams with easily recognizable looks should never screw around with their uniforms.
Penn State and Alabama IMO are the best among that group. Maybe Notre Dame and USC as well. Classic, clean and crisp. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

I really like the Pitt powder blue unis too. However, those aren’t their typical unis.
Funny you say that. I don't know if it's because boys are swaddled in baby blue and it's deep down ingrained in our brains, but powder blue has been a part of some amazing unis. Various iterations of the UCLA and North Carolina football unis over the past few decades have been glorious and the Chargers powder blue with the white helmet is the best pro football uni of all-time, IMO.

UCLA & UNC have great traditional unis, but I can’t think of them as football schools.

A couple of my favorites>
UCLA home unis have a great look. Love the color combo that screams Cali and they own the classic sleeve stripe.
I also like Tennessee's, unique shade of orange and I like how in recent years they incorporated the checkerboard into their uni.
Finally UC has some great looks but they are also getting a little too Oregon with all the combos. The C Paw is a great logo with the best look being home all black>

Not a huge fan of the super simple unis but I get it. Those I dislike the most our the clown like ones, especially Maryland and some of the Oregon combos.
FAMU has some of the most garish football unis
Also not a fan of Michigan State's new look, especially the neon accent and huge font on the front of the jersey

I love the traditional B10 and SEC uniforms.

Love Ole Miss' powder blue.
Always liked WVU's combos

I actually like MSU's traditional unis.
Hate those awful alternates but that is the case for most schools. Traditional and simple is good. Always liked bars on the side.
