Saw MatScout Willie today mention that he thinks the only areas that can compete for an All Time Team with PA District XI are WPIAL and NE Ohio. Who would you put on your all time college team made of wrestlers from NE Ohio?

His for District XI was:
125 Jack Cuvo 5, 1 , 1
133 Jordan Oliver 4, 1, 2, 1
141 Don Rohn 1, 3, 6
149 Pat Santoro 7, 2, 1, 1
157 Bryan Snyder 4, 5, 2, 2
165 Stan Dziedzic 3, 1, 2
174 Greg Ruth 3, 1, 1
184 Geoff Baum 6, 1, 1
197 Jon Trenge 2, 2, 3
285 Matt Feast 7, 5, 6

NE Ohio can beat that lineup for sure, but im too lazy to arrange it --this virus thing bumming me -- lots of names Lee Kemp, Mike DeAnna, Joe Heskett, Pucillo, Alan Fried, Markus Mollica, Shawn Garell, Tom and Pat Milkovich, J Jaggers, Joe Peritore, Ryan Bertin, Dean Heil,, Jim Heffernan on & on, im sure im forgeting. But i see REAL DEPTH, not just a starting lineup. .... Only wt im not sure of Hvt.

here is a start (with depth at some weights)...

125 - Pat Milkovich, Nathan Tomasello, Joe McFarland
133 - Logan Stieber (does Monroeville count as NE Ohio?), Mark Hawald (Sr)
141 - J Jaggers, Alan Fried, Tom Milkovich
149 - Jim Heffernan, Brian Dolph, Dustin Schlatter
157 - Lee Kemp, Dan St. John, Ryan Bertin
165 - Markus Mollica, Joe Heskett, Gene Gibbons
174 - Steve Luke
184 - Mike Pucillo
197 - Dustin Kilgore
285 - Rich Eslich

I only went with guys who won at least one NCAA Title (D1), plus a couple D3 champs

Thanks intheknow! Open for debates on who should move into the top lineup.

Building on that I added some others in:

125 – Nathan Tomasello (1,3,3,3)

133 – Pat Milkovich (1,1,2,2)

141 – Alan Fried (2,2,1)

149 – Jim Heffernan (4,2,1,2)

157 – Lee Kemp (2,1,1,1)

165 – Joe Heskett (3,2,2,1)

174 – Steve Luke (6,2,1)

184 – Mike Pucillo (6,1,2)

197 – Dustin Kilgore (7,1,2)

285 – Bob Golic (4,3)

Others:

125 – Shawn Garell (1) / Joe McFarland (5,6,2,2)

133 – Joe Peritore (2,2,2) / Steve St. John (4,3,2) / Mark Hawald Sr. (3,1,1)

141 –J Jaggers (7,1,1) / Tom Milkovich (4,1,6) / Roger Chandler (8,3,2) / Dean Heil (4,1,1)

149 – Brian Dolph (8,3,1) / Lance Palmer (4,8,4,2) / Dustin Schlatter (1,3,7)

157 - Ryan Bertin (6,1,3,1) / Greg Elinsky (7,2,2,3)

165 – Mike Deanna (3,6,2,2) / Marcus Mollica (1,5,1,4) / Dan St. John (3,1,1) / Gene Gibbons (1)

184 – Andy Hrovat (8,4,7)

285 – Harold Smith (3,6) / Rich Eslich (4,1)

good eye Cougar ....
in the know -St John & Kilgore & Dolph good adds--Dean Heil was 2xer, Shawn Garel champ at 118, Joe McF second twice but no champ

I would offer Kevin Randleman and Ty Walz. I also need to look up some of the Southview guys.

I believe the list entails best COLLEGE wrestlers that are from NE Ohio, meaning who from NE had the best collegian careers....is this correct? So the #s after each name are their college placements.

This will be interesting.

If SW Ohio could find a team, who would ya put?

Correct Coach. The numbers after their names were college placements.

I could think of 5 Jordon's that would qualify...

133 - Jim Jordon
141 - Jeff Jordon
149 - Micah Jordon
165 - Isaac Jordon
174 - Bo Jordon

Not sure of their NCAA finishes, but all are All-Americans.

Add David Taylor at 157, and SW Ohio has a good start...

I would consider st. paris more of central ohio speaking geographically.

I’d throw Kevin Vough, the heavy from Elyria in there for the 285. I think he was (3,1,1,2)

Those are his HS placements. Don't see him on the roster at So. Dakota State anymore. Couldn't find anything of whether or not he is still wrestling in college.

I wondered what happened too. I assumed he was on his 2 year Mormon mission, but maybe someone else can shed some light.
