That's not the whole ten years.I think my point was "regardless". But, if you need the numer(s) listed: 5

Let me try again:That's not the whole ten years.
Then per your argument, I will stipulate, any teams who have 5 or more playoff State Championships, AT THIS POINT, have a better 10 year run because I didn't produce any other numbers in this Yappi thread. I also move to have Gail Sayers removed from the '60's ALL-Decade Team.Makes no sense if you look at the other candidates.
A number f schools have many titles in ten year period, so ya the n look at their non title teams.
Hoban has been amazing the last 6 years. But frankly they're the Sammy Sosa-esque in terms of Ohio HS Football dynasties (recently incredibly & slightly questionably great):If State Championships seem to be the main metric, doesn't Hoban get on this list with 5(+1 Reg.ch. game) regardless of what they did 2011-2014 or what they will do 2021-2024?
Very good Centerville teams, but sadly for them this was the same decade as the great Moeller teams.Centerville:
From 1975 to 1985........94-8.
And Princeton.Very good Centerville teams, but sadly for them this was the same decade as the great Moeller teams.
You are still obviously obtuse as there are like 6-7 posted with 5 or more titles in ten years, therefore you need to have the other seasons to fill out that ten year period to see just how they stack up against the other big dogs. Then per your argument, I will stipulate, any teams who have 5 or more playoff State Championships, AT THIS POINT, have a better 10 year run because I didn't produce any other numbers in this Yappi thread. The most impressive part was not their record. The thing that separates the 2014 Flyers is they were D7 beating the D5 and D6 champs handily. Find one other team in history that has dominated like that in any given division, you’ll be searching for a long time to find any that come closeI don't know, Kirtland has 7 losses in 11 years. You talk about the 2014 Flyers having 4 losses. the 2015 Cavaliers were 57-3 in their HS careers. Lost twice to those Flyers, and also defeated them twice. I guarantee you there are Kirtland teams that have done even better than that. I'm just not going to look them up right now.
98 is actually the 11th year. Being Div. 1 I think this is the most impressive. Also 3 USA Today or national prep poll national championships in that period.St Ignatius 10 year run
1988 State Champs 14-0
1989 State Champs 13-0
1990 Lost in first round to Fitch- finished 10-1
1991 State Champs 12-2
1992 State Champs 14-0
1993 State Champs 14-0
1994 State Champs 13-1
1995 State Champs 14-0
1996 State Runner Up- Finished 10-3
1997 State Semi Finals- Lost to Champ McKinley, finished 11-2
1998 State Semi Finals- Lost again to Champ McKinley, finished 10-3
7 D1 titles from 1988-1998
5 straight D1 titles 1991-1995
135-12 overall.
Ignatius then won the D1 title in 1999 to close out the 1990s.
The Glory Days
Add Kerry Coombs from Colerain (now at OSU) to the list.So many great coaches. Hetrick, Reed, Mancuso, Gregg, Reno, Kyle, Graham, Lutz, Faust...
Sorry...I just thought of this but... Pick Central has averaged 13 games a year played over the last 10 years. That’s not bad considering 3 of the seasons only had 9 regular season games and 2020 only had 6 regular season.Still smarting from the beat down we took in the championship but Pick Central has had a pretty good run the past 10 seasons:
107 wins 21 losses
10 winning seasons
10 playoff appearances
9 league championships
Advanced to the 2nd round 8 of the 10 years
6 Regional Championships
4 State Title game appearances
2 State Championships
A friend who was a NC player from that era sent me more info to add:Newark Catholic
1978 - 1987
6 state titles, 3 state runner up
You cheated listing 11 years, so not all that impressiveSt Ignatius 10 year run

Apples to apples, I’m not sure I agree with you.I think if we were to rank these 10 year windows, the Ignatius and Moeller runs would be 1-2. The talent they went against in D I / AAA was much stronger than what the runs lower division teams went against.
While D1 is not always the best team (most years yes) Ignatius winning 5 straight D1 titles is one of the most impressive accomplishments in state history IMO.98 is actually the 11th year. Being Div. 1 I think this is the most impressive. Also 3 USA Today or national prep poll national championships in that period.
Harding 2001.Like most title winners, Ignatius ruined some schools better teams and likely State Champs (Euclid, Massillon come to mind)
OK, I'll give you that. But it's hard to consider ANY program a DVII (or small-time, if that is what you are trying to imply) program when they're consistently fielding 60 to 70 kids on their roster EVERY year. Name one other DVII program that does that, you might be searching just as long. I get your point, but to me, Marion Local is a different animal altogether. I think somebody told me one time that around 90 percent of their boys go out for football. If that is true, I can't think of another public school that does that, either. The most impressive part was not their record. ML probably averages 35 boys per class, or 140 in the high school. They're not getting 90 percent of their kids out - it’s more like 50 percent at the most.OK, I'll give you that.
