At 88, he is a historical rarity — the living son of a slave

In all seriousness; Abram had to have been born in 1862 and
a toddler through out the American War of Rebellion, no more
than 4 when the war ended. Given the dire food shortage in the
South, he was lucky he didn't die at a young age.
