Anyone paying Peacock to watch the game tonight?

Just curious. I’d like to see the game but we already have enough Prime, Netflix, NFL on You Tube. I’m ok with missing KC-Miami. Maybe I’m just cheap.

I bought Peacock. With DirectTV fighting with the company that owns our local NBC station I got Peacock so I could watch the last few weeks of Sunday night football and whatever playoff games NBC has the rest of the season. After that I don’t need Peacock.

You don't know good tv.

I didn't watch wouldn't waste money to get peacock . I hope the tv audience is printed for the peacock game as I'm sure it will be the least watched game

I ponied up the $6. Think of all the things you pay similar or more money for and don’t even think about it.

Since I subscribed, I figure I’ll watch the Royal Rumble in a couple weeks, maybe the Ted series, and some old WWF shows from the 80s and 90s. I’ll get more than $6 worth of usage.

Peacock getting blasted.

Unfortunately, a significant number of fans - and new Peacock users - are experiencing a major technical issue while trying to stream today's game.

A quick perusal of social media Saturday reveals that a ton of NFL fans are battling quality issues on Peacock.

But, the continuation and escalation is inevitable:

I didn’t have any trouble with Peacock, but Amazon Prime’s streams consistently had annoying issues for me all season long. Prime seems to be the crappiest sports streaming experience for me personally. The best is MLB.tv.

Twisted Metal was also surprisingly good.

During halftime of the Lions-Rams game they announced that 23 million people streamed the KC- Miami game. It’s the most ever streamed show.

But:

But:

And this is probably true. However, what do you think the age demographic was of these 10 million viewers? Would they be desired viewers for tv advertiser (ages 18-45)? My guess is these 10 million viewers leaned towards the older ages.

When live sports started shifting from free tv to cable tv, I would guess there was a drop in viewership at first. Over time, everyone who could get cable, had cable. Maybe we are in a transition from cable to streaming service(s). Maybe the NFL and its tv partners are a bit too soon in moving games to streaming service only. Maybe the NFL games will be the push to streaming services.

From what I have read, the streaming of games is only going to increase in the near future.

Can’t deny Taylor Swift has drawing power. Not to me, but to many.
I'm sure you say that in jest but there actually is some weird truth to it. In our extended family our daughter in laws have previously had zero interest in the NFL. But here they were Saturday night, blocking my view of the screen in hopes of getting a fleeting glimpse of Taylor. Zero interest in the game itself, but totally into the hype of being a Swifty.

My daughter had Peacock prior to Saturday's game so she simply signed in and we got the broadcast from her account. No way I would ever dig deep enough in my pockets to pay $6 for a game. Perhaps $1 or $2 , but that's where I draw the line. There are too many free options that come over the antenna free broadcast to spend significant amounts on it.
