I don't know who really is in charge of what, but I know the facilities/business operator, Scott Campbell, when the fieldhouse was being constructed has gone back to Canton/Perry area for an administrative job and the Super at the time Bratton has since stepped down.

Even his bad seasons he always has an above 500 winning team. A couple of his teams even finished in the national rankings.

You all need to talk to the players and parents about how outstanding of a coach he is. Stow had the best team in the state a couple years back and lost to Walsh due to poor decisions late in the game. The current players don't enjoy playing for him at all.
It's similar to many times in history where a great coach is outstaying his welcome, and the program will be hurt the longer he stays.

But, again, the problem is the AD who doesn't have the balls to make the move that everyone in the system knows needs to happen

I have heard through the years that many parents and players don't like coach Close. I also know many have had issues with the athletic director. As far as how good a coach Close is all a matter of opinion. I don't think you can have the kind of record he has amassed by osmosis. Also, I was at the game vs Walsh. Stow didn't play their best game that night but had the ball in the final seconds and missed a short shot at the buzzer to win. They also missed some shots that night that they normally made during the season.

When I say electric scoreboard I mean one like Barberton that can flash stuff like how in Barberton it says Go Magics all the time and change teams names to who is playing or even better Twinsburg that has Cleveland Clinic 1st Downs that’s what’s needed to host and fix and add more bathrooms

Oh parents aren't happy with a coach? Never heard that before.

Stow was beating Walsh by 5 late in the game. It was a bad loss but they weren't the best team in the state; they certainly could've won it all that year.

Cyle Feldman is a good man. He cannot fire Dave Close and if he even tried to his brother, Chet Feldman, is by far and away the most logical successor and that's a huge problem from a nepotism standpoint. But you cannot fire Close.
 
I think we’re on the wrong thread here. This is football. Close is an excellent coach, the kids, from what I’ve seen like playing for him. He’s hard, but we need that today.

Back to football…. Any big numbers being thrown around in the weight room? A lot of kids showing up? Who is the head coaches right hand man these days? The former player he had from Brecksville still running the weight room doing the exact thing they did when he was in school?

Anyone even certified to run the weight room?!?
Anyone taking visits? Any commitments?
 
Any chance the Head coach is salty they didn’t hire him when stow was good and went with someone with more experience and then decided to hire him when they were dog poop? Maybe he’s trying to take the program down from the inside?

Everyone gets it you don’t like Coach Poder, but this is the stupidest post ever. Coach gives everything he has , there’s other factors

This is an interemesting situationation that Stow find itself in, y'all. Smoove know Stow a proud community that have some problemations wit' some kids leavin' the district for the privates and all of dat, but do the coaches run the weightroom? Shoot, y'all, when Smoove was just a young Smoove tryin' to figure thangs outcht, Smoove's coahces ranified the weight room. Was not no strength coach bein all up in therr. Not sayin' it a bad thang, but Smoove think the coaches need ot be up in therr and makin' they presence feltified, pushin' those kids to be better and want to be better. ON the other topic that is alwayz in the forefront of Smoove's mind is the Concession Stand. Smoove interested in findin' out if they is anyone Certified to run the Concessionary Stand? Smoove will Commit to bein' the SOLE PLEASER of any and all of those fine Concessionary Chickies. Smoove just want to pleasurate them up, make them know they is appreciated, very much appreciated. Smoove would love to show them how much Smoove appreciate them over and over again, y''all. Now, if they married, Smoove don't swing on that vine, but sometimes they ain't gettin' what they loins are cravifyin' and Smoove sometimes be the one slidin' in the proverbial backdoor, as Smoove callifies it. Smoove just want to show these ladies how special they is and if that comes wit' a season pass for games, a free popcorn, or even they return the favor and give Smoove a footlong coney, Smoove down wit' it! Comeon, Stow, get thangs in order and bring it startin' this winter in hoops, and keep it up in the spring with baseboall, then do what Smoove Specializes in in the Fall, HAMMERIN' IT HOME!!! Cyle Feldman was told by people above him (principal and interim superintendent) that the were sticking with Close. He had no say in this decision.
 
Geez you guys are sensitive about your coach. I guess I won’t make any jokes anymore, and if i do I’ll make sure all you sensitive Sally’s know it’s a joke.
 
I hear coaches are being restricted in when they can use the fieldhouse for practices. The administration won't open it of there aren't also other events as they don't want to pay overtime for a custodian to come in for just one practice. I suspect this is a union thing where they're required to have someone there if a building is open. It makes you miss the old days of coaches getting a key to the gym, etc..
