Now that it's spring and basketball is over it's not too early to start talking football.
West Holmes has a freak athlete that will be a freshman. He may be the next Williams Dixon. He played middle school QB, could he play varsity? Maybe in a wild cat. But if I remember right when we played them in freshman ball two years ago they had a good QB. That kid will be a junior now.It will be interesting to see what WH does at the QB position. Wooster and Madison battle to stay out of the basement? Does Wooster have a new coach yet?
Last year Parsons was the backup until injury, then Chaney filled that role. Beechy is athletic as all get out, but it is always a jump from 8th to 9th grade let alone 8th to varsity. Will have to see how this goes and how the offense looks with who shakes out as the skill positions.West Holmes has a freak athlete that will be a freshman. He may be the next Williams Dixon. I feel like Madison is in good hands. Their old coach is probably wishing he would’ve waited alittle longer on taking the Orrville job since he was at Wooster previously. Wooster seems like it would be a great program to take over if you can get the kids to buy in. They did lose one of their better lineman to moving out of state.
Richland source article said they’re waiting until they cut all the jobs to see whats left. Mansfields struggling.Does Senior have a new coach yet?

Not a fan of that approach. Mid season is when they get to the toughest part of the schedule minus the Dover game. Either he's that guy or he isn't. If he is then he might as well be there game 1. I'm just a WH fan on a forum so that doesn't mean much.Beachy by mid season. Chaney is very athletic but I was told he is moving to running back. Son says a few underclassman aren’t playing.
You forgot Lexington's Andrew Saris 3rd year HC.Schools Ranked by HC Experience within the OCC (counting the 2025 season):
Ashland - Scott Valentine - 21 year HC (20 @ Ashland, 1 @ Madison)
New Philadelphia - Mike Johnson - 5th year HC
West Holmes - Keaton Leppla - 2nd year HC
Madison - Kobi Johnson - 1st year HC
Dover - Matt Rees - 1st year HC

They have a good RB that’s a junior now right? I would take the lumps this year and install all RPO (if Beachy can throw at the varsity level.) let those two run wild and throw it occasionally. Not a fan of that approach. Maybe the homeless guy that told Haslam to draft Johnny Manziel can have some input?I am hearing the 7th and 8th grade coaches called it a day aslo, so no head coach for 7th snd 8th grade, no highschool coach no athletic director.

Will probably earn some more B1G offers throughout the season, he has a massive frame and the sky is the limit for him! Indiana was my guess, thought the revival would bleed into him.Ashland's Nathan Bernhard has committed to Div I Appalachian State. I think it's a good fit for. I know Xichigan and Penn State have shown interest in him. But App. St. he could compete for playing time and a starting position a little sooner.
Was told that some schools were reducing their interest. Indiana was high on his list and a commitment was discussed but they asked him to wait and see what a few offers to higher rated QBs resulted. Indiana had made offers to 6 QB that are rated higher. Will probably earn some more B1G offers throughout the season, he has a massive frame and the sky is the limit for him! The Lexington QB was being recruited as an athlete and will probably play TE in college.2nd D1 committed quarterback in the league. Pretty impressive for a conference, this year will be fun! Can’t wait to come up week 10 to Lexington!
