2025 INDIAN VALLEY BRAVES

Would be nice to see Indian Valley allow Buckeye Trail out of the week 5 IVC crossover game and schedule up that week. Defending D4 state champions versus a middle of the pack D6 school?
I'm old school on this but if the matchup is a problem for Buckeye Trail then they should get better. Why should IV have to go out and find someone else because they are too good?

People wouldn't be complaining if TV or Claymont were the crossovers.

Plus IV is having a hard enough time scheduling games, very few teams want to play a State Champion team that has as much coming back as the Braves do.

IV is playing @ Big Red Week 2........
The absolute best option to fill the week 2 opening. These are the type of games that build a program and keep it strong. Even if IV were to go down to Steuby and lose by 2 tds, they will be a better team for it. Beating Ellet by 40 points the last 2 years did little to test your team. Playing Green and Steuby week1 and 2 is a solid non conference start. Exciting stuff.

Would have been nice to see Dover @ IV match up week 2, but this is a great pickup for IV and a great challenge playing there especially.

Ironton week 2 has been filled. Also thought it was strange Indian Valley took a flyer of a game against Expression Prep out of Huntington WV anyone have any insight as to why they are playing them?

Garaway let TCC out of their cross over game. I was told lot of that had to do with uncertainty if TCC will have a team or be healthy enough to play the crossover week.
I think that is a smart move on both teams part. As far as IV goes I don't see anyone be in the league staying within 17 points of them.

From what I’ve heard they have had a really hard time filling the schedule. I’m guessing Huntington wasn’t having an easy time filling theirs either, probably just convenient for both sides? I believe Garaway is playing Huntington before the Braves do, that should give IV a little insight on the team.

If you look at the Huntington website, it looks like they are trying to upgrade their program. Currently they only list freshman & sophmores on the roster. I'm not expecting much competition for IV or Garaway unless they do a lot of recruiting before the season starts.

Buckeye Trail didn't and wont run from Indian Valley like Newcomerstown did in 2023.

I would be interested for you to show me where one person involved with the East Guernsey Schools is complaining about this game? The complainers are community members, fans, parents and realistic people. Buckeye Trail, I am sure will continue to work hard and get better but not because you told them that they needed to.

Even though the score hasnt reflected

As an Indian Valley fan, I will say this. Buckeye Trail has always come to play and are typically more physical many other teams we have played.
I think they just dont have the numbers. I can tell they are well coached and always play hard. In contrast, the 2 years we played Akron Ellet, I was surprised at the number of quality athletes they had yet they couldn’t compete. It appeared to be a lack of discipline and coaching and no “fire in the belly”. Not picking on them, just trying to draw a comparison because I think BT kind of gets a bad rap.

I don't know if anybody has. I was just responding to what Penso posted. And I agree with you 100% BTW. Don't complain about an opponent being too good and avoid them. Get better.

Just to be clear - my post wasn't a criticism of Buckeye Trail. They were just used in the post I was responding to. You could substitute any two teams in that scenario and I would say the same thing.
