2025 Cincinnati Bengals

Nice breakdown of chase new deal

Not sure I fully agree with the authors ending. If Chase is setting to WR market, even at a “fake $40m” in 2025, $44m for a top flight WR in 2029 will be good value and the Bengals will pick up the final year as a worst case scenario. Best case they extend him again and are able to lower the cap hit.

The Brown family isn't leaving Cincy. She is just saying that to get the maximum amount of money possible.

The Browns left Cleveland, anything can happen. If San Diego were to somehow come up with some $$$ for a stadium…..bye, bye Bengals. From day one the Bengals franchise would be worth $1 billion dollars more than its current value by being in San Diego with a new stadium.

With a new stadium San Diego would most definitely get a Super Bowl, Cincinnati very unlikely.

Art Modell law. They aren’t leaving.

Bengals training facility is now flooded with Pittsburgh sewage water

If you’re going to be the billion dollar buiisnees of the NFL, maybe spend your own money. Tax payers have been getting hosed for the million and billion dollar men for way too long.

Would have been happy with like 6 different guys that were available. The only guy I truly did not want is naturally who they pick.

Botched a highly athletic unproductive DE in Myles Murphy, let’s try to run it back 2 years later. Sheesh.
Bengals like there combine warriors, John Ross, Murphy, now Stewart. 4.5 sacks in 3 years of college football.

The lack of sacks is concerning, but I feel a bit better with his 39 pressures.

This draft in particular, is where you’ll find the best value in R2 & R3. If they can get either UGA IOL or Watts (not bc I’m a ND fan), it will be a big win.

39 pressures but only 4.5 career sacks. For a 1st rounder one has to have more production. If it was Baltimore or NE with Belicheck making the selection I think most would say ‘ok, there must be something there…’ but since it was the Bengals making this pick & their past history of reaching, this pick just has bust written all over it.

For goodness sake, go get an interior olineman to protect Burrow

That's fair. They totally whiffed on Myles Murphy a few years ago and he had far better production. This pick will either hit big or be a total bust.
