he is originally from up that way and left Dublin Jerome to go back there I believe. I was suprised to hear his name tossed around for this gig.

I am saying this not to be disrespectful, but I don't think this job is as attractive as it was 20 plus years ago. no slight to McKinley at all.

However, I think there are less quality candidates for coaching jobs these days as well. Partly because less people who are coaches are getting into teaching and education, and partly because the change in culture in regards to how coaches are treated by parents, players, and schools across all spectrums of communities. Add the more than ever required time commitment, and its not as attractive as it used to be
 
Gecewich coaches at Perry. Prior to that he coached and Dublin Jerome and before that was on staff at Marion Local. If this is true, this is about as good of a hire out there. He is very creative offensively and adapts his offense based on the skill sets of his players. Definitely not a guy who says this is my system and we are going to run it no matter who the players are.

A easy search proves that
Most seem to be decent fans/people not really trolling maybe a little of friendly banter
And same goes for Massillon not every fan is an asp hat 😂

I should say I heard they didn't want to have to move or something like that. I'm not real sure how he got into the mix anyway especially since technically the job has never been opened outside of the district. Somebody in the CCS system must know him somehow.

Wonder how many turned the job down that was asked, might have to settle for someone just to have a coach since no one is knocking the door down for the once mighty job
