Here are some ideas for matchups (at least on the NEO side)

Week 2:
Riverside/Perry (I believe the two have played in the past, and wouldn't be a far drive for either)
Riverside/Hoban (The Beavers only lost by 21 last season in the playoffs. MAYBE they catch Hoban in a down year?)
Green/Fitch (Same division, different region)

Week 3:
Ursuline/Niles or South Range (Makes a LOT of sense. Wonder why it wouldn't happen though?) If not, they could play Massillon, or even St. Eds (the latter more than likely is about as likely as me being Mr. Football, but stranger things have happened).
BUT, it could be a pretty decent draw if it did happen. If Iggy can make a trip to Mahoning Valley, no reason why Eds can't. Or if Eds wants to host, that wouldn't be bad either.

Ursuline/South Range would be a nice early season matchup. The Raiders have shown they can hang with the big dogs, and this would be no exception.

Week 4:
Fitch/Maple Heights (Two teams that are evenly matched and could meet in the Region 5 postseason)
Iggy/Glenville (The two teams met in the past, and if they could work it out, would be a great area matchup. Maybe this gets played at Byers, John Carroll, or Case?)
St. Ignatius/Austintown Fitch (Would definitely like to see the two schools run it back. Last year's game was a classic and could have gone either way)
Massillon/Eds would be a hot ticket as well. Hopefully the Tigers are willing to make the trip up to Lakewood.

Maybe not super likely, but Glenville/Steubenville?

Week 5:
Hoban/St. Eds
Hoban/Massillon (only possible if one of them moves up a division). If so, this game would be the hottest ticket in town.

Week 7:
Bishop Watterson/University School (Could definitely see this happening, regardless of venue)
Cleveland Heights/Massillon Washington (Also a pretty solid potential matchup)
I don't mind 1 or 2 out of state games but I don't like to see anymore than that. Like to see more games an hour or less away. A lot of the scheduling depends on if your school is in a league and how large your league is.

As usual at this time of the year some of these may be filled and others might get added.
I excluded Senate League teams weeks 4-10.
If teams like Crestline, Tuscarawas CC, Vanlue decide to go 8-Man some more teams would join this list.
As of now Riverview East and Hillcrest do not appear to be returning in 2024.

For the life of my me ,I don't understand why Dover and Mansfield Sr.are not playing in week 9,there going to be future league opponents

No way Martins Ferry will play Mogadore. They have resorted to playing nobody to get some cheap wins. Cambridge will not be good next year and Mogadore should never play Frontier.
Why should they never play Frontier? Is Frontier that good??

No I think they went 0-10 last year or something like that, they have been so bad of late that it would be pointless for Mogadore to play them. Mogadore could name the score every year most likely.

Simkon is correct.

Youngstown Chaney and Boardman have open dates in Week 8..those would be better fits. D2 and D3 though...but closer trip. Canfield is open too but probably want to stay away from them.

I don't see where Boardman and Chaney are open week 8. Perhaps I am missing something... or perhaps you are mistaken...

There are not really any in state options for Mogadore to fill week 8 to be honest, maybe an out of state team would be their best bet. If they aren't opposed to getting slaughtered they can pick between driving to Canfield or Steubenville or just take the Bye if losing by 40 or more doesn't sound too appealing.

Won 5 titles in a row ?
I don't know what your asking me sir. Hoban was in a league with 6 or 7 schools. The league broke up and the teams in that league beside Benedictine stopped scheduling Hoban along with Mooney Urseline and recently st Vincent st Mary. The last 5 years they have scheduled many out of state opponents, along with Eds and Ignatius. I don't know why the schedules have changed so much and whether Hoban is choosing on their own to play these teams or they maybe have contacted many schools and been turned down.

Still don't understand why not Hopewell Louden, Martins Ferry or Cambridge. Better than no game..

You said this and I asked when did Hoban do this ?
Maybe it was 4 in a row, I'm not sure. They had won 5 out of 6 and have finished runner up the last 3 years losing to Cincinnati Winton Woods, Toledo Central Catholic and Massillon. The state champion years I believe are 2015, 2016,2017,2018, 2020. My bad 4 in a row.
