2024 Northern Lakes League....both divisions

Northview vs. Springfield is quickly becoming the Battle for Poop Mountain every year...at least they'll both have points scored prior to the game though!

The arrogance to assume I don’t know as much as you about the size and speed of guys at different sized schools in the area is truly astounding.

Maumee is better than a year ago by a large margin, they were also starting a sophomore QB for the first time against OH last year after their starter was hurt week 3. He’s back at QB, along with his twin brother at WR, a senior all league WR, 2 senior RB’s (one is 200+ lbs, the other fast and 170). They only needed to replace Oline and I was actually surprised to see how big and athletic they looked, average around 250lbs. If they are beat by more than 14 by anyone until the playoffs this year I’d be shocked.

Maumee also has beaten Springfield the last 2 years in a row, I realize they haven’t been good but it shows that it’s more than just the move to the NBC that has helped the Panthers win, they’re talent is the best it’s been since atleast 2017 the last 2 years.

0% chance Whitmer could win by 60+ over Maumee this year. 40? Maybe. For reference 2011 Whitmer (maybe the best team ever at Whitmer) won exactly 1 game by more than 60 in a pre running clock era and it was against a team from Canada. I’d guess Maumee would lose about 56-14 if they played today but I also think Whitmer will win every NLL game by 20+
Well at least Maumee only lost to Oak Harbor by 39 this year

Whitmer still hasn’t won a single game by more than 31 yet this year and won by 41 and 42 against NV and Springfield last year so you’re still an idiot. Thanks for proving you were lying in the other thread too.

Yep. Time to start the new coach wish list.

What about that dude who was at Springfield back when they were winning?
I highly doubt Gucciardo plans to become a HC again, think being an OC is probably a lot less to deal with, similar to Chip Kelly at OSU now

You would think that Findlay's entire starting D was hurt not their QB.
I was baffled. Findlay has some big talent upfront but their defensive backfield was swiss cheese. On the long Heintschel run they looked like pee-wee kids avoiding a RB (bad angles, poor effort).

Clay's D is not much better and I was thoroughly impressed with Echleberry. Ragland had what? 315 yards receiving on 15 catches? With all of Findlay's dynamite offenses over the years are either of those records?

I did see Northview scored some points. Fourteen to be exact. I saw one was a pick 6 before the half on a bad bubble screen (41-7 at half) so I do not know if their offense actually scored in the second have. As ToledoGuy mentioned, their match-up with Springfield should be a barn burner.

Yes, that's the guy. I thought maybe he could do a three year hitch where he gets the Ross program back to health and hands it off to the next guy in good shape. He knows how to make use of athletes on offense, which would be an exciting brand of ball for Ross.

Echleberry 562 yards broke Montgomery's 491 from last year. The paper didn't say anything about Ragland (14-309 in paper) but I can't see anyway that also wasn't a record.

Just read your posts sir. You must have been quite SHOCKED last night with that 39 point L. Relax though, I’m just giving you crap here

After watching the first drive by OH I really wasn’t, they ran right down the field. Maumee’s defense was bad last year and even I knew they hadn’t faced any team that could challenge them yet. Giving up 56 didn’t surprise me at that point, thought they’d get another TD or 2 though.

Whitmer did and Perrysburg can. Doubtful anyone else can until the playoffs.
Yeah, not sure how much better Clay's offense is this year (or Pburg's D vs. last year), but Pburg did hold them to 7 points last year.
And we'll find out this Friday as the game is AT Perrysburg, if that makes any difference.

"compete" "successful" not even a change in semantics. 🤷 If Lima by your standards didn't provide competition for the NLL, then the NLL was not successful against them. Flipping the script doesn't change the underlying premise.
Still not sure I'm following. Lima was never in the NLL.
