After a sluggish first half the boys finally started to put it together mid way through the 3rd qtr. It takes a while for diesel fumes to vacate the lungs. Long bus rides are not good. I thought the special teams especially the kickoff and punt teams were below the standards we have come to enjoy over these many years. I am not sure what happened to the #1 kicker but I did not see him on the field after the first quarter. Big Moe needs to clean up special teams play and I am sure the coaching staff is aware. Being able to flip field position is very important come playoff time. Allowing the opposition to gain control of a kickoff near mid field is not going to get it done. Not a criticism, just an observation. It looks like week 4 might result in an open date since the team from Georgia apparently has backed out (game was scheduled to be played in Ironton). It may turn out to be a blessing in disguise since it would give Big Moe an unexpected but opportunistic extra week before St. X game. GBM 💪 🏈

Not quite the 57-0 dominant performance from last year, but a win nonetheless. Definitely some things to work on going forward.

Kudos to Dwenger for scheduling; they drop off the schedule in 2025.

The K came up hurt after making a tackle on a kickoff return. Hopefully it is nothing too serious. Moe is thin at K and P this season.

I’m told they have found another team for us to play in Ironton. I think they are from new york

Dad ruined his senior (who was a captain) son’s season for what?! 🙄

Good luck to the next school dad drags his boys to—and then the one after that.
Allegedly because he wasn’t happy with the amount of snaps his sophomore son was, or was not, getting.

Sounds like daddy might be Louisville Trinity’s problem in the near future.

Any final word on this week’s game? Last night, Barrett said they were going to release something today about the game and I didn’t see anything.

The Rice situation is unfortunate. It sounds like the dad is the driving force behind it. He’s upset about his sophomore son not starting so he pulls his senior captain off of a team that has a legit shot of making a great run this year??? I find it hard to believe the senior wanted to walk away from his teammates.

I think they may have just found an opponent from North Carolina. Awaiting confirmation.

pretty insane move to pull your eldest in his last year due to your younger sons PT (If true). I know Rice is good, but moving him to another school in the middle of the season will affect his playing time and doesn’t guarantee the younger ones either. Assuming he can play right away since it’s out of state? Why move all the way to Louisville and not just send him to Highlands or Cov Cath? Crazy situation.

Because Micah (older son) is committed to Louisville.

Terrible decision by the father. I feel sorry for those kids.
