You're absolutely correct, especially when you look at the rest of their regular-season schedule. This is a senior group that has won eight playoff games in the past 3 seasons. They tell me they have personal motivation to succeed in their last go-round in terms of unfinished playoff business at the highest level.

What's the outlook for Goodman in the A? I know it was a relatively contentious hire at the time but what's the atmosphere over there like now?

I’m not sure . I don’t live around town anymore and mostly livestream games when I can. I watched one game in person this year and about 2-3 the past few years. I can tell you that the on field performance is less than desirable at the moment and it looks like the numbers are down. I realize any jack@&$ in the world that watched a game could tell you that. Sorry I can’t tell ya anymore than that because I really don’t know. Anyone got more of a finger on the pulse than that?

I don’t see him going anywhere or stepping down. Mainly because he’s the athletic director. I feel like they will allow him some grace and he probably has another 3-4 years before they even think about moving on from him. Went to the streetboro game, the kids looked defeated before halftime and it’s never a good sign when a coach is hanging their head. I think Salem and Minerva are best case scenarios for wins. I spoke to one parent who has been about of the program, he believes once league games start aside from WB that alliance will do fine. I don’t agree but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
 
I know this has been discussed at length, but Minerva seems to be in the wrong league. They are approaching the 10 year mark without a HOME LEAGUE WIN. The last one was 10/3 in 2014!!!!!!!!! And their only league win in 10 years is AT WB back in 2019

There are a lot more sports than just football. Minerva, for instance, has a strong wrestling program and regularly competes for the league.

Just a staggering fact.... 10 years without a league victory at home. And it is almost 12 years without a road non-league win. Hope things turn soon for the Lions
 
Wasn’t there talk of an upcoming class that’s really good, I think it was their freshman class this year. It comes in waves as far as talent is concerned. West branch seems to be having their run as of late. It’ll be someone else turn to dominate soon.

People confuse talented classes at the junior high with classes that win junior high games all the time. Their Freshman class is probably better than most recent classes they've had but they're not a group that's so ridiculously deep they can make up for three really weak classes all around them
 
West Branch up on Chaney 21-0 late. Tied at half, West Branch came out after half with some big runs and Chaney has had a lot of false starts kill their drives.

Can Minerva end the streak tonight?
Did Alliance find hope in there new QB?
Can Salem bounce back from a OT loss?
Can Carrollton get another win before rolling into league play?
Will Marlington get a much needed win against JFK?
Will WB finally play to its potential and not struggle with penalties this week with a few guys out?
 
How many winnable games are left on our schedule? Right now I think Minerva and Marlington but if we have any injuries I’m not sure those are guaranteed wins. Seems just like a few years ago that the the old atown back yard brawl was the da facdo EBC championship game. What’s going on in Atown that neither team is any good anymore?

It ebbs and flows man, Marlington is declining in enrollment at the moment largely due to the levy issues and Alliance just doesn't have the talented classes they've had in the recent past walking the halls right now
