2024 Eastern Buckeye Conference

2021: Carrollton, Salem, West Branch
2022: Alliance, Carrollton, Salem, West Branch
2023: Alliance, Carrollton, West Branch

Does anybody know what teams made playoffs from EBC since the playoffs was expanded to 16 teams. I’m just thinking two prolly ain’t much worse than usual. We only got 6 teams and it ain’t like Minerva has been a playoff quality team since at least about 2013-14.
Here's the answer to your question, and this is showing the entire seven-year history of the EBC, including the first few years when eight teams qualified for the playoffs and the past four years, including this year, when 16 teams made the postseason.

2018
Alliance (7-4, made D3 playoffs)
Marlington (8-3, made D3 playoffs)
4 other EBC members didn’t make playoffs that year

2019
Alliance (7-4, made D2 playoffs)
Salem (8-3, made D4 playoffs)
4 other EBC members didn’t make playoffs that year

2020
NOTE: Covid year, everyone could opt in or out to play a playoff game, regardless of record.
West Branch (8-2, made D4 playoffs)
Carrollton (7-3, made D4 playoffs)
Salem (5-6, made D4 playoffs)
Minerva (2-8, made D4 playoffs)
Alliance (2-8, made D3 playoffs)
Marlington (3-5, made D3 playoffs)

2021
West Branch (13-1, made D4 playoffs)
Carrollton (8-4, made D4 playoffs)
Salem (8-4, made D4 playoffs)
3 other EBC members did not make playoffs

2022
West Branch (12-2, made D4 playoffs)
Alliance (8-3, made D3 playoffs)
Carrollton (7-4, made D4 playoffs)
Salem (6-5, made D4 playoffs)
2 other EBC members did not make playoffs

2023
West Branch (11-2, made D4 playoffs)
Alliance (6-5, made D3 playoffs)
Carrollton (6-5, made D4 playoffs)
3 other EBC members did not make playoffs

2024
West Branch (9-0, has made D4 playoffs)
Carrollton (6-3, will likely make D3 playoffs)
Salem (3-6, could make playoffs if it would upset West Branch in Week 10)
3 other EBC members officially eliminated from playoffs

Rivalry week schedule:
Marlington (2-7, 1-3) vs. Alliance (3-6, 2-2) at Kehres Stadium. Both teams mathematically eliminated per Joe Eitel
Minerva (1-8, 0-4) at Carrollton (6-3, 3-1). Minerva mathematically eliminated; Carrollton projected to be 12 seed in III-11. Week 11 opponent likely to be Athens, per Drew Pasteur.
Salem (3-6, 2-2) at West Branch (9-0, 4-0). Salem must win to qualify for postseason; West Branch projected as 5 seed in IV-13.

Division IV West Branch plays six schools that are larger on its schedule in D3 Canfield, Chaney, Howland, Alliance, Carrollton and Marlington. They also play three schools the same size in D4 Salem, Woodridge and Minerva, and one school that's smaller in D5 Girard, which has lost two straight games to West Branch and is dropping them next season. Because of its tradition, West Branch has a hard time finding schools that want to play them. That's why they end up playing larger schools. It's not their fault the EBC is going through a down year this season. Believe me, I don't think anyone will be thrilled when West Branch comes up on their postseason schedule. With 20 returning starters from an 11-2 playoff team, a quarterback that's accounted for 41 touchdowns, a three-time 1,000-yard running back and a defense that's giving up an average of just 6.6 points-per game, West Branch will be a strong playoff team again. This group of seniors have won eight playoff games in the past three years.

I'm good my friend! Hope you are well as well....we had a great game with the Warriors...up 12-0 at half then outscored 16-0 in the second half.....we beat WB pretty easily.....then both Minerva and Marlington both cancelled so just wanted to see if you won out👍🏿
Chocolate, how have you been? I believe they did win all the league games, but also think most of the games were close. Never actually witnessed any of their games, so I really don't know much

Here's an interesting statistic on Salem: The Quakers' 3-6 record is somewhat deceiving. They are just a few points shy from having a record of 5-4. They lost two overtime games by a combined total of four points, losing 24-21 in double overtime to Canton Central Catholic, and 35-34 in overtime to a 6-3 Carrollton team. In the past 5 games, as Salem's offense has gained experience, the Quakers are averaging 35 points-per-game and giving up 17.4 ppg. That's why they have statistically risen to second in the EBC in offense and defense behind West Branch in points scored and points allowed this season.

To add to it, they had a very makeable FG attempt in the 1st OT to win the CCC game and got it blocked.

WB has the right schedule for them. They have a solid non-league schedule and don't appear to shy away from competition. It's unfortunate that the league is so down this year. I think it was just 5 years ago that they were 2-8 and were beaten by Minerva for the Lions' only league win since 2014. So all credit goes to the coaches and AD for the incredible turn around at WB. It sucks for WB that the league it so down that they really don't have any competition. I think some WB fans are hoping Salem plays out of their minds so that can watch a semi-close game.

I think a ton of West Branch fans are going to be pretty big Struthers fans this week. If Poland beats them it'll set up the Warriors with Glenville in week 12.

Glenville 2nd round of playoffs Would be horrible for the branch
Even worse is if they somehow got by them it's Lake Catholic is week 13. Ironically the best scenario for West Branch would be to lose this week to Salem, drop to the #7 seed and have a much better playoff path. As it stands right now even week 11 is a tough draw with NDCL coming to town

Branch is not getting by glenville no one is they got region 13 wrapped up in the palm of there hands unfortunately and it pisses me off

To me I think the team to stay away from other then glenville would be Perry, I think that’s a tougher game then LC. It’ll be interesting to see how seeding ends up. I said WB should be big Struthers fans week 10 a few weeks ago and some lunatic went off on me on here for it lmao
