I don't think their will be any capacity limits at the Classic this year. I think the school will allow pretty much full capacity. This is one of the biggest events in the nation and the community has put a lot of time into the Classic. Hiland boys and girls should have been allowed to play for a State Title last year.

Nothing is stopping the school from filing an injunction to allow more fans at the games. A lot of schools should do that this winter.

That's not how it works HiTime... and the OHSAA has a say in it all too. The fact that you are so lacking in compassion and concern for those who are affected by the virus is scary.

MCGal, during the spring and summer when Ohio wasn't allowing basketball games or scrimmages, teams got creative and went to Indiana to play. I don't think schools can travel out of state without school board permission. So I see no reason why school boards wouldn't file to have more people at games.

Wouldn't you think schools would have done that already for football so they could have received as much of their revenue as possible for all their sports? Like McGal said, that's not how it works.

It'll likely be very limited capacity and gym cleared at least every couple games if not every game. Disappointing no doubt but at least the games will be played barring further changes. Live stream feeds will be the best option for most third party fans.

That's what I was thinking also. Divide the gym into 4 quadrants. 'X' tickets per team member. Spectators for game 1 sit in opposite sections. Game 2 spectators file in to the other sections. When game 1 ends, those fans leave, and so on. No all-day passes. No (or very limited) tickets for general public.

Ok so got some info from someone who knows lol.... no final decisions made yet on clearing/changes between games because it's still 3 months away which is completely fair. Looking like it'll be minimally 300 and hopefully 400 allowed in per game. Also was asked to share the updated schedule:

Does anyone know how they are doing seating at the Classic. I know it can't be more then 300 will they be clearing the gym between games???

Yes clearing between games and very limited tickets for each team.... best bet is to watch live stream which I think is on passthaball

100 tickets per team per game ... any available tickets not used by teams will be made available to the public 30 min before game time. Cost is $10 per game. Classic in the Country twitter will list what tickets are available as they go.

40 day passes will be made available (I believe beginning at 8:30 AM) for each day of the event. Cost is $25 for a day pass.

And yes, gym cleared between each. For most, live stream will certainly make the most sense.

The day passes are great but who's going to drive that far not knowing if they'll get one? Aside from that, it all makes sense. Will be an odd atmosphere compared to the norm. Good luck to all of the teams and thank God for good weather forecasts :)

Is the Las Vegas team still coming? I saw there is some type of quarantine thing for people traveling from NV. I might have read it wrong

Yes coming as far as any reports out of Hiland... and it's not an AAU team as some think, it's a HS team basically playing as an AAU team since HS Sports aren't going on..
