N0 Chris Livingston fire the coach.
Can you tell me the last time any OSU basketball coach got a top recruit when Kentucky, Duke or UNC really wanted them? I can - it was Greg Oden. Before that it was Jerry Lucas. Twice in 60 years it happened. Not getting a 5 star recruit is not a fireable offense.

It must really suck being you. Always negative. Maybe if you had a job that paid more than minimum wage you could be an OSU booster and then you could get Holtman fired. But with your negative attitude you will never accomplish anything great. Just whine and complain all the time.

Buckeyes land 2023 four-star, 6-foot-2 pound combo guard, George Washington III. He chose tOSU over Louisville, Indiana, Tennessee, and Auburn amongst others. Washington is the No. 77 overall prospect in the 2023 class, and is known as a skilled knockdown shooter on the perimeter.

I read that Louisville really wanted him. Louisville and Mack have had a lot of success at the guard position with guys like Holloway, Lyons, Crawford, Christion, Macura, Sumner, Mitchell, Lee, Rozier, Smith and Nwora. They seem to have a good eye for the position. Plus his dad was a D1 woman’s coach. And then there’s his tape. This is a good pick up. Top notch name too.

Not an impressive performance by OSU vs Akron, Branham was impressive, maybe Wheeler develops into a good pt. guard but the Bucks just lose focus at times.

As super impressed with Branham. Even with his lofty recruiting ranking, it’s hard to come in as a freshman to a very, very veteran team. He played well.

doesn’t seem like anyone can create their own shot except Liddell. That’s going to be a huge problem going forward.

A few negative comments:
- Smart people do not overreact to 1 game (Brian)
- It will be hard to have Meechie and Wheeler on the floor together for big minutes - not enough shooting
- Ahrens still can't get his own shot
- Sueing looked lost, and had more air balls than all of last year.

Now the good:
- Liddell looks great - a couple bad decisions but hey, he's 20 and won;t be perfect
- Zed is great at knowing his own limitations, and is a great low post option
- Branham looks legit - he will need to be starting pretty soon
- Brunk will not hurt us when he is in the game - strong and smart, with some nice post moves
- Holtman managed the last 6 seconds perfectly. Great set play from the side.

Questions:
- When is Young back?
- Will Towns be able to play at all? His offensive skill would help.
- Is Sotos hurt? no minutes last night, and his shooting would help.

I hope folks realize that Sueing is coming off injury, and was a game-time decision. He’s a shell of himself at this point, but just getting back. Not making excuses for him, but he should be afforded some time to get healthy.

Thanks - had not heard about Sueing's injury until I heard Holtman on the radio on the drive to work this morning. That explains his play. Hopefully he can get back to his full health - we know he can play.

Liddell with 29 pts. Once again OSU not impressive but come March these early games mean little other than if a team wins or loses.

They will have a nice rotation when everyone is healed up, he will just have to fine tune it and get the best combination.

Agreed - lots of depth but will need to establish guys that you can go to other than EJ. Sueing looked better, he should be the #2 scorer on this team if healthy. Kyle will get his points like he always does, hard work. Branham may be the key - I think he can be special.

Started to watch the game vs BG, but couldn’t continue. Criticize me all you want, but I cannot watch a football, men’s basketball or baseball game on tv when there is a female play by play announcer. Nails on a chalkboard to me. Now get off my lawn!

The Buckeyes looked a lot better tonight from what I did watch.

Half-listened on the radio. Female announcer: it's the voice pitch. :)

Lots of guys finding their roles - especially Meechie and Wheeler played better, but BGSU is not good.

Worst news of the night - Sueing injury is more serious. Did not play and I heard he is being sent to Cleveland Clinic - they can't figure out exactly which muscle is torn/enflamed in the pelvis/groin. Gonna be out a while.

Xavier, Seton Hall, Florida/Cal and then Duke coming up. I'm guessing / hoping for 2-2 during that stretch, and of course Brian will think Holtmann should be fired.
