OK, I'm really bored and desperate for something to do. I've looked at corona stats as much as I care to do. I'm tired of calculating how much I've lost in stocks. And I'm exhausted from driving around to every store imaginable searching for toilet paper. So, I decided to go ahead w/ the NCAA 2020 Pick'Em. Trackwrestling is doing a simulation, based on something called Bayesian Hierarchical Modeling technique. I actually think it's a made-up phrase by someone who is just messing with us, likely China. Anyway, they go through each bracket as if the tourney was taking place. Many matches have outcomes that are very improbable, kind of like Moore losing to an unseeded wrestler 2x when he's seeded #1 in the 2018 NCAAs. I thought that with only 11 other teams entered this year, maybe my chances of winning a Pick'Em would be greatly enhanced. So I thought I'd run the numbers and see what happened. We still have the placement matches and finals today, but here's where we stand this morning:
- Redflagday - 128.5
- Buckeyes7 - 119.5
- kidwrestle - 117.5
- CoachHoversten - 115
- GWF - 111
- DrFunknstein - 106.5
- Sunnyred - 92
- said_aouita - 91.5
- bdhof - 88
- OaSgUr2013 - 84
- CalendarCow54 - 78.5
