Very close game. Two safeties and two blocked punts for TDs in this game. Unfortunately, three of those went Ravenna's way.

A bit of a rough one tonight. Way too many mistakes at crucial points. Still some positives as the kids get more and more experience each Friday night.

Very close one tonight. Tallmadge led 16-14 before Revere kicked the winning FG with :03 left.

Freshmen Rocky River game cancelled due to low numbers on the RR freshmen team.

Hopefully the Blue Devils can pick up another game quickly.

Way too many mistakes early in this one for Tallmadge. Four interceptions and bad penalties led to the Blue Devils being down 23-0 early. Tallmadge was able to run effectively all night but really struggled in the passing game. Both Tallmadge QBs had a couple interceptions. Downfield passes were rare. This is another game that the Blue Devils would like to have back...

Anyone have the Tallmage/Kent Freshmen score?

I know it's a longshot but does anyone have any of the JV scores that are missing?

Just to vent a little...I wish Tallmadge cared about football like some of the other "football schools". It is frustrating that so few people care. Look at what Massillon does:

To have sustained success, it can't be just a couple of parents every few years that work hard with one age group. Success is built when the whole community cares. I'm not saying that we need to win state championships but having enough kids on the roster to fill out schedules from 7th grade through varsity should never be an issue.

It's interesting to look at the lack of coverage of all the levels of Tallmadge football today versus the wall-to-wall coverage a decade+ ago. We even knew the names of the youth football players and their records back then. Winning seasons were common and expected. Fans talked about football all the time even if they didn't have kids in the program.

What is going on with the football team? Started the year off with some very close games, but the last several (since Aurora game) have really been lopsided losses. Is the team dealing with injuries? Or are they just over matched?

I would say that injuries were a big part of it. This team didn't have much depth because of small Senior and Junior classes. Losing a couple players and a couple others having to move positions because of injury made it tough to compete.
