2019 Football

What channel is the game on? I don't see where ESPN is carrying the game. Did Hyzdu pay them to not carry the game today.

Same ole....same ole

Not sure why this game was on espn. Touchdown came from a Valentine kickoff return. The offense did not get a first down until 1:30 left in the game. I think Ed’s coach truly felt bad for Moe. He pulled his starters about halfway through the third quarter and basically ran up the middle the rest of the game trying to run clock. Naumann’s saving grace today was the hard rain and terrible conditions. Otherwise, it would have been a lot worse.

JV, Freshmen vs St Ed? Thanks.

freshman won 17-7

don't know about JV....I didn't realize it but I was looking at the athletic webiste and the JV haven't won a game (unless they beat WW....that is not posted) and have not scored more than 7 points in any of their games....they've been shut out 3 times. I know there are sophomores playing up, but man that's rough.

I do not see how Moeller could possibly justify not making a head coaching change after this season. Just my opinion having followed the program for many years.

Hopefully the powers that be at Cincinnati Moeller make the right decision to get the Crusaders back on track. Cincinnati football is better when Moeller is a contender.

Now that the season is officially over for Moe...

I am enjoying watching Pat Mac over at La Salle. Seems like he has things back on track there. I'm happy for him for winning the GCL --- pretty impressive.

Does anyone have any idea what the current administration has done to run Pat and his brother away from Moe? I heard a rumor that Pat was actually offered the job 2 years ago and then the offer was pulled back. Any truth to that?

I heard this and that Pat ultimately declined, so not sure what is true. Both stories were denied by Moeller posters here. Yet, Pat is still at LS, along with his brother and Majors as well. Seems likely there was some hard feelings somewhere.

moeller 2-8
Loveland 0-10

boom roasted
Glad Moeller has sunk so low thanks to Marshall and Naumann that 2 wins against horrible teams is now a good season! Enjoy. Happy you are happy. Just keep in mind Loveland played 5 or 6 D1 teams and they are D2. Moeller is D1 and won 2 games against basically D2 teams. I can see why you are so optimistic.

I predict a new coaching search announcement will start today or tomorrow

Do you know something --- or just wishful thinking?

So you are predicting this and just so happens the Fenwick coach announces he is leaving for another job on the same day

I would think that there are a lot of coaches inquiring about the head coaching position at Cincinnati Moeller. Some could still be in playoffs though.

The announcement was one of two tweets, in the other he said he's moving to Dallas, his wife moved there for a new job a few months ago.

I'm not sure if I agree. When Rosfeld left they were going to do a national search and ended up with a coach with no head coaching experience. If this was such an attractive job why did they hire Nauman?

I think there is a toxic culture surrounding this once storied program and it is not nearly as attractive as it once was. Rodenburg won back to back state titles and was forced out. I think any decent coach will look twice before jumping at this opportunity. Do you uproot your family (assuming you are outside of Cincy) for a high school coaching job in which you might be forced out because the parents don't like you

I like a lot of what Rodenberg did at Moe - but - he won state in 2012 & 2013 and then went 10-4 in 2014. After that he went 5-5, 4-6 and 4-6 - which just happened to coincide with several key assistant coaches leaving (including Pat Mac). At Lawrence Central he has gone 4-7 and 2-8. So, just maybe, he was not the key cog in wining the state championships - and maybe there was good reason that he was gone after 3 years with no playoffs and 2 years with losing records.
