I was there and have a lot of work to do. Lot's of new faces the and the 2018 seniors will be hard to replace, but overall they didn't look bad. I think the coaches still have a lot of decisions to make as far as positions. I don't think Sandy Valley was a full strength due to basketball so the results were deceiving, I think Minerva won 10-8. They pitched 4 or 5 kids and they will have to be real pitchers by hitting spots and use a lot of off speed stuff because I didn't see anyone that that can rely on velocity to blow kids a away. They did throw a lot of strikes and a couple had good breaking balls. I think they will struggle in conference play but it seems like the coaches are really into it and the team should improve as the year goes on.Any word on how the Minerva scrimmage went Saturday? Anyone else able to get outside and scrimmage?
