We have a very nice backup for Baker, kicker not so sure.
Kicker and right guard are my biggest concerns right now. It would be so "Browns" to miss out on the playoffs because of a botched FG or, worse, PAT.

I hope Gilbert gets a lot of work early in games giving Baker rest and not get hurt...BAM!Great article about Mayfield and Gilbert growing up together in Texas.
'Annoying little brother' Baker Mayfield once aspired to be like his Browns backup
Garrett Gilbert was the "rock star" QB in high school and Mayfield the "fat 12-year-old" who was never afraid to clap back at his idol. Now they share the Browns' QB room.www.espn.com

Right guard is problematic. This isn't the early 2000s NFL that valued tackles on the OL and you could plug and play a solid guard after cut day. These days some of the toughest match ups are in the inside and Guard play is valued so it will be tough to find a good one when everyone goes down to 53.
Kicker /???????????
Which brings me back to Corbett. Contrary to the belief of some, on here, the guy is looking like a whiff by Dorsey. Granted, the guy (Dorsey) hit on 4, maybe 5 (if Callaway gets his sh#t straight) picks out of 10 in that draft so I'm not going to kill him for the pick, but I don't think anybody (analysts) expected them to take Corbett that high. Keep hearing the "give him time to develop" BS. When you're picked with a high 2nd rounder, and you're a guard (guards typically aren't being taken until late 1st/early 2nd) you should be a "plug and play" player, as you mentioned. The fact that Corbett is getting mauled in some of these preseason games is very troubling.
How many good football players come out of Nevada? Kind of reminds me of Mike Junkin, you take basketball players from Duke not football players.
Remember the good old days when some thought he was going to just step in to take over at LT after Thomas? Seifert's looking like another possible swing and miss, but every GM has them. It's not an exact science.
For the Buckeye honks, the Browns have signed Braxton Miller...

Wonder why they'd add someone to the deepest position, especially one who couldn't make another team?
Duke to the Texans. Rumor is that it is for a 4th with potential to be a 3rd.
Probably knows someone on the staff, good guy getting a last chance to help a team.Wonder why they'd add someone to the deepest position, especially one who couldn't make another team?
Maybe the Browns should sign some of the Titans db's, they seem to catch Baker's passes ok.Wait until Baker has some receivers in there who can actually catch a ball.
