The schedule's more full than this... I'll find the other games. I know they're playing at the CITC this year.
 
McKinley is also playing in a tournament at Garfield Heights over winter break. The girls' games are on a Sunday I believe.

Lots of action yesterday,got some info maybe the lack of height will be a problem for the girls this season.
 
Lack of height? This is the tallest team McK's had in a long time. You sure you meant this for the girls forum?
 
Saturday? They scrimmaged Cornerstone Christian, Toledo Bowsher, Gahanna Lincoln, and Wilmington

That doesn't mean they're tall though. When McKinley plays non league game and once they get to the regional McKinley always seems to be the smaller team on the court. I always wonder where these schools get 6'-4" girls.

Is their size important parts of the rotation? I'm familiar with some of their returning talent and transfers and the ones that are notable to me have good size for their guard/wing positions but I don't know of any real impact bigs on the team. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Bell is over 6' so I'd consider her an impact big ;) .... they have athletic kids who are in the 5'10-5'11 range and yes this is as tall as they've been at the guard position in awhile. Either way, their speed is their strength not their size.

As for the past, last year's district semi, the strength on the boards def made a big difference in the game but before that, size hasn't been an issue as much as others in losses since the Malina Howard years. I'm quite sure McK has focused on rebounding in the off-season since it was such a huge piece in their early exit last season.

Their post-season road this year will include the potential of run-in's with Wadsworth, Hoban, or Wooster all with a single significant post player (assuming they're at Medina again... not a given considering the NEDAB once again hasn't given anyone a clue as to what's going on). I don't see a team with multiple big threats until maybe Toledo ND in Norwalk if they happen to get there :shrug:
 
Haha yeah I'd say Bell is a whatever she wants to be during any game :) they are definitely long and fast at the guard & wing spots.

I think it'll be them or Glenoak in the Federal. Glenoak have the size to beat the Pups up down low, those will be some fun battles.

Hopefully they hurry up with the districts. If districts are the same I'd agree, this year is a much cleaner path for McKinley. All 3 teams you mentioned lost significant impact players to graduation or injury.

Nothing comes easy in the Fed or a D1 district but I believe Bell puts them over the top in both.

I wasn't able to be there but I heard the atmosphere was electric, and the game was terrific. I hope McK brings the same environment when Glenoak comes in on Jan 12th.
