However, recently was (and probably still is) more wobbly over that actor ODing than I ever was over bowling.
 
:laugh: BcB. What a turd. I was never wobbly over PSH's death, just saddened. BcB, on the other hand, made the worst argument in Yappi history, which is saying a lot.
 
I'm fully able to accept that my argument was weak. If you don't call starting multiple threads referencing my stance wobbly, I'm not sure what is.

But back to Olympics. Not trying to derail thread.
 
I brought wobbled/rattled to yappi, which makes me the authority on who is wobbly/rattled. You were, I wasn't.

Unless I screwed up the math, the 5000 m speed skating winner averages faster than the Tour De France winner, by about 5mph.

Kramer dominates long distance speed skating every year. I don't think he's lost a major event since 2006 aside from being DQ'd in 2010 10,000m event.
 
I'm pumped for the hockey this year, several strong teams. We'll see if Switzerland can repeat their showing at world's last year.
 
USA snatches 2nd gold and a clean sweep in the first ever Olympic Slopestyle events. Meanwhile, Britain earns their first winter olympic medal in history.

Ace and Gary on the two-man luge always look kind of strange to me....

I like the snow-cross. Four snowboarders racing each other on the same course, and not just the clock, is pretty cool to watch.
 
other than the hockey which is a must watch as the two best teams in the world will clash ..everything else in this olympics has been deafened and spread thin to the point of it being boring by the fact that socchi is a terrible place to have it with the state of the region ... really makes it hard to watch anything ..plus , we really dont have many superstar athletes performing at this one ..the snowboarders are all hippies on the weed and whores -- shaun white is over the hill too...also, that bode miller was crying again ..he is the biggest crybaby in thw world ..what an embarrassment ,,,he should have quit after last olympis ...
 
Some of the venues are spectacular. The downhill is one of the most dramatic I recall or it could just be that now they can have cameras flying over head. Still, I don't recall a lot of them having the scenery this one does. It looks so isolated.

Hockey is so much more than just the two top teams. Who would that even be? Russia and Canada? The championship in last year's world championships was Sweden vs. Switzerland, with the USA getting third. Any of the top seven or so teams (USA, Canada, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia) could win, and don't sleep on Switzerland pulling another fast one.

I think old hoffy is just jealous of how the snowboarders and the 100k free condoms spend their off hours... that, and the fact that hof on a snowboard would be like a chifforobe on a toboggan...

The hockey should be tremendous
 
only team that can sneak in to play Canada for the other than US is Russia ...they have home ice adv ... Switz , Swed, and any one else you mention has no shot .... goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooofffffffffffffffff:eek:
