20-21 Federal League Basketball

Based on a small sample size, it looks like Mck has the most talent and depth. Jax seems to get more out of what they have. Jax also getting good bench support. Have not seen Green nor GO. Perry lacks firepower without Toles. Lake is winless but were tied with Mass after 3 quarters ?‍♂️
Actually, Lake trailed by just 2 points and possessed the ball with less than a minute left but couldn't convert.

Olentangy Liberty up 36-35 late third over Mckinley. Liberty was the team to beat McKinley earlier in year

Jackson 53
Hoban 50

Hoban led the entire game but the Bears caught them and after Hoban missed 2 foul shots with 3 seconds left, Michael Skeriotis banked in a trey at the buzzer.

Hoban was only able to make one field goal in the 4th quarter and none in the last 6:40.

Jackson is still undefeated.
That was Hoban's first loss.

Good win against Hoban....?

Canton McKinley 81
Perry 56

The part of the game I saw showed McKinley with smothering full-court pressure. Perry had trouble making passes and had more trouble finding good looks at the basket. McKinley looked very hungry.

Without Toles, who is in Covid quarantine, I knew it would be a difficult task for the Panthers. He helps break the press and little doubt they missed his scoring, and passing abilities. Not saying they would have won with Toles in there, but the game would have been much closer.
His presence was missed again this evening at Bay Village, where they dropped a 12 point decision to the Rockets.

LEAGUE STANDINGS AS OF 12/31.

Jackson 3-0 (9-0)
McKinley 2-0 '(4-2)
Green 2-0 (3-5)
Perry 1-0 (2-2)
Glen Oak 1-2 (2-2)
Hoover 1-2 (3-5)
Lake 0-4 (1-6)

No, that’s not what it’s about. It’s about seeing they same childish crap on these threads everyday. AFW is one of the more informed sports posters on here.

I agree about AFW. Yappi and I have a watch thread designation of this thread. Please let us know if anything crops up that is out of bounds.

Costly win if Graybill is out for an extended period of time. He's a key cog in the machine with his rebounding, hustle and, surprisingly, assist making ability. Someone will have to step up big if he isn't ready by the 8th for McKinley.
A huge loss for Jackson. Hopefully he will be back early to mid February.

Nice win by the Pups less than 24 hours after a tough loss. Mck's talent, depth and pressure D wore down the Tigers and allowed McK to take 2nd and the 4th quarters. McK is 4-2 while Massillon falls to 3-4 and 1-2 against the Fed. Pups have been close in two losses to OL but need a win against a quality team. When is the Jackson-McK game?
