I was a big ELO fan in the '70s and I always thought this album was overrated, too much schmaltz for me. The next 3, Face the Music, A New World Record, & Out of the Blue were their high water mark. I also liked On the 3rd Day better than Eldorado.
The rating of Eldorado is skewed a bit as it has one of my favorite ELO tracks on it, take that away and the rating drops down into the 75's. I have both Face the Music and A New World ranked higher than Eldorado but not Out of the Blue.

Out of the Blue is not in my top 3 but the public loves that album. By the way, Fire on High is the best ELO tune EVER. Very spacy intro with backward masking, great early use of the ARP synth, and Jeff Lynne laying down the best all time acoustic guitar riff.>
Great tune no doubt but my personal favorite off that album would be Strange Magic....
Time to start focusing on the year 2014....

Atmospheric/Melodic Blackened Death Metal
This one came in at #1 for the year 2014 on the metal site I use and holy crap, this band really delivers it. Merge Atmospheric Black with Melodic Death with a pinch of Prog and you get this amazing album. This one just came up short of making my all time top 100 album list but I am sure it will eventually make it once I purchase this one and play the crap out of it. This was their debut album and they do have one that came out in 2018 that I will eventually get too..... What a great start to 2014!

I remember buying this on vinyl when it came out. The packaging was cool. The inner sleeve folded open and had a board game on it.
