That would work itself out rather quickly too I'm guessing.

    2023 Northern Buckeye Conference

For sure...I was pleasantly surprised by their performance in the conference, though I wasn't expecting the bottom to fall out of northern Wood County football.

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

To be fair, my comment about Maumee was about all sports, not football in particular. Eastwood and Oak Harbor are clearly the teams to beat in the NBC, and it isn't particularly close...but Maumee has already shown this fall, and will continue to do so in the spring, that they're going to more...

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

Ehhh...Northwood wanted the conference with Swanton, Ottawa Hills, Delta, and Evergreen more than anything else. I think they just want out of their current drives to Williams County, doesn't really matter where they land.

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

Can become? They're already going to win between 4-6 conference championships in the NBC in year one. They're going to become the very thing they left the NLL for in a few years if the football momentum continues...they're killing it on the younger circuits. I'll add, too, that Maumee more...

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

Yep, Maumee's move was about 5 years later than it should've been as indicated by their immediate success in most every sport. It's what many of us brought up in 2009 when the football-centric school board was arguing for "tradition" while most teams were getting their heads kicked in...but it...

Crazy how many students Whitmer has lost over the years...in the 70's they had nearly 1,000 in a single class.

The Township population includes the City I think, though that still means you've got roughly 50,000 citizens...albeit a much older population than some of the districts you mentioned. I think a more appropriate measure would be number of students, seeing as how those Columbus area districts...

    2023 Northern Lakes League...both divisions

Went to that game...I feel like Perrysburg offense was immediately neutered when the entire right side of the OL was on crutches by the end of the 1st quarter. Also didn't help that Perrysburg's punt returner apparently rolled around in KY Jelly before the game.

I'll be gracing the sidelines up off of Alexis Rd this Friday, first foray back into big school games for this year...should be a great one!

    2023 Northern Lakes League...both divisions

Their wins are against a terrible Springfield, a terrible City League team, and the worst team in their conference. It would be much of the same in the NLL if they stayed, just look at what the conference teams are doing to Springfield, a team that took Maumee to the brink.

    2023 Northern Lakes League...both divisions

Yep, and the way Napoleon stayed with AW for quite a while might've given them some motivation that the lower division is up for the taking.

Like I said, it wouldn't happen, just have always thought that would be a pretty darn great conference composition.

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

If you were to add BG (an obvious stretch) and LB into the NBC I don't think you'd have a bad 10-team setup, but if you're aiming for 16, this is pretty solid. I still think the ideal mid-sized school conference in NW Ohio would be: Bowling Green Maumee Otsego Eastwood Rossford Oak Harbor...

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

10 might genuinely be better...only need to schedule 4 OOC basketball, softball, and baseball games, cuts down on the amount of OOC soccer games, and only 1 OOC football game as well. I think everyone in the WBL would sing the praises of a 10 team conference.

    2023 Northern Lakes League...both divisions

Findlay Whitmer Perrysburg Bowling Green Ross Southview I don't think the Whitmer-AW game will be all that close, as Whitmer struggles to defend the pass far more than the run, and AW is a run-first team, but I'll gladly be wrong.

    2023 Northern Lakes League...both divisions

I would say simply reading results that Perrysburg would be the favorite, but I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Whitmer or Findlay beat them by multiple TDs in a couple of weeks. One thing is for sure, the race at the top will be much more fun that I think most of us expected coming...
