    Where Should Glenville Play?

I agree it is a mess OHSAA has created. I am not against transfers. I feel kids should be eligible to play wherever they want. Thats why in another thread I suggested just assigning a CB number based on transfer year and let them play without going through all the transfer waiver crap.

    Where Should Glenville Play?

It literally takes a few minutes. To me its crazy what parents, coaches, and administrators go through to try win a title and getting transfers eligible.

    Where Should Glenville Play?

Voter registration is one of the pieces they use to verify a move for transfers. The moves are supposed to be permanent. Ohio voter registration laws say you change your address if a move is permanent but not if you plan on returning to a home you own or are just moving temporarily. Voter...

A Simple Solution To The Competitive Balance Issue

Its to simplify the transfer rules. Let anyone play for any school they want without forcing people to move or at least act like they moved to be eligible for a full season. Just give them CB numbers based on the year they transferred. No need to appeal or investigate anything to have eligibility.

Or proof they didn't thoroughly vet the transfer.

    Where Should Glenville Play?

Or they just get better at hiding it. RT2 transfers to Glenville for senior year. RT1 (dad) owns home in Summit County per auditors site. RT1 is registered to vote in Cuyahoga County with Cleveland address per Ohio Secretary of State site. Home where RT1 is registered to vote is owned by...

    Where Should Glenville Play?

A transfer student to Glenville has a father registered to vote from the home of a Glenville alum. Father still owns home where wife is registered to vote. I explained this in detail in another thread.

    Where Should Glenville Play?

Using an alum address for parent voter registration to gain transfer eligibility.

    Let Them Play Up

Its not only a Glenville issue. Its easy to say OHSAA has done their due diligence but you don't truly know. So was the transfer actually living in the home of the Glenville alum? Did his father permanently move to the home of the Glenville alum or will he return to his home in Twinsburg?

    Let Them Play Up

I provided information regarding something asked about. You can read the Ohio Revised Code and get your own opinion. What is a new low is how parents, coaches, and administration jump through hoops to get a transfer eligible. OHSAA has helped create this. It is a fact that the father of...

    Let Them Play Up

We certainly don't know how thoroughly players were vetted. It is possible Ruel Tomlinson committed felony voter fraud so his son could play at Glenville.

    Let Them Play Up

Since its all public record,, here goes.. Aug Akron Beacon Journal, senior QB Ruel Tomlinson Jr transferred over the summer from Walsh Jesuit to Glenville. Summit County property records show Ruel Tomlinson owns a home in Twinsburg. OHSAA uses voter registration to help show a bona-fide move for...

    Let Them Play Up

Are the father and transfer student actually living in the home of a Glenville alum or merely using the address. No one has answered this question. Cant really deny its about football or state titles.

    Where Should Glenville Play?

Ginn is a track guy too with strong ties to Glenville. Probably wouldn't take much for him to get a few track guys and others that don't play football go from Glenville to his self named school and effectively lower Glenville's division.

    Let Them Play Up

Lost all of them. Didnt win a title until they dropped to D4. You all brag about all the talent, D1s, pro athletes, but Ginn had no titles before dropping to peewee. Ginn is the common denominator of losing despite all the "superior homegrown talent". Did the kid and his dad actually live...

    Let Them Play Up

Glenville wouldn't do it. Its about Ginn and he hasn't won above D4. He wants to stay where he can win and apparently that's D4. They game the CB system but you think he wants to play up when its tournament time. No chance. The athletes alone can win D4 but it takes the coaching acumen Ginn...

    2023 Bengals

Still in the hunt. 1 game out of the wild card. Steelers and Browns are not good teams. Still a tough schedule ahead. Good win tonight.

DIV STATE FINAL Glenville vs Alter

So they are donating addresses for transfer students? Guess thats one way of giving back. BTW, the mom is still registered to vote at the home owned by the dad in Summit County who for some reason is registered to vote at the home of a Glenville alum.

    Where Should Glenville Play?

True, despite all the D1 recruits, pros, and stars they have only won in D4. Wonder what Eds, Hoban, Massilon, or TCC, would have won with all that talent they lost with?

A Simple Solution To The Competitive Balance Issue

This makes too much sense. I would go a step farther 1 CB transfer before Frosh or Soph season, 2 for Juniors, and 3 for seniors.
