Lol! You are exactly right. I remember one time an AD told me that someone applied for a head coaching position years ago and said that they were a fantasy football commissioner, won multiple fantasy football leagues, and loved watching his daughter play flag football.

There are a lot of great community members/students/teachers in Middletown Schools and within the community of Middletown. To shed light that the whole city is in shambles because of an unsuccessful football program is ludicrous. Is it what it used to be...no. But Middletown is a good place...

That's how it is in most places. The real problem is that whoever volunteers to be the crowd-control person, paid or unpaid, are not supported by district administration. The person may do a great job of kicking kids out, etc... but the same issues keep popping up because district administration...

Agreed. Monroe doesn't place a high standard on sports really. I would think some in the community would frown on a newly created high-paying position for a football coach.

Faulk was never officially hired at Monroe. They ran into an issue with the teacher's union only being able to hire him at step 10 (state law someone told me) and was going to take a major salary reduction from his job in Mason.

With that title, he should give himself the nod at his own interview.

Typically Monroe hires from within if they can. One of the people you mentioned will probably get the job because they are on the current staff, minus Mueller. An outside face would be refreshing in Monroe if it happens.

On the Middletown Middies looking for a new coach thread, someone mentioned Jalin Marshall as a person who has applied for the Monroe job. I am a believer that someone who gets the head coaching position should have some experience as an OC/DC, but I believe this would be a good fit for Monroe...

Monroe would be a good place for Marshall to start in my opinion.
