Division III State Championship: Canfield (13-1) vs. Bloom-Carroll (14-1)

A lot of talk before this ab BC’s 11 being a highly recruited college LB. If that is the case, Canfields 27 and 11 should be in that same conversation. Both had equal if not better performances than BCs lb

Division III State Championship: Canfield (13-1) vs. Bloom-Carroll (14-1)

Canfields got their own pair of backers on the other side too

Division III State Semifinal: Region 10 #1 Holy Name Green Wave (11-2) vs Region 9 #2 Canfield Cardinals (12-1) at Euclid Community Stadium

Would not call the game last Friday an ugly one, was a great defensive battle between two of the best programs in the state. You must not have watched the actual game, so I understand how the score may portray a not-so-glamorous win.

Division III State Semifinal: Region 10 #1 Holy Name Green Wave (11-2) vs Region 9 #2 Canfield Cardinals (12-1) at Euclid Community Stadium

again and again is referring to great defensive showings against high-powered opponents this season specifically (Ursuline, Chardon, Chaney).

Division III State Semifinal: Region 10 #1 Holy Name Green Wave (11-2) vs Region 9 #2 Canfield Cardinals (12-1) at Euclid Community Stadium

Ridiculous take. Canfield's defense has proven again and again against high-power offenses that they are a top defense in all of Ohio. Give credit where credit is due man. They game planned extremely well and stopped Chardon. End of discussion.

Week 14: Division III Region 9 Final #1 Chardon Hilltoppers (11-1) vs #2 Canfield Cardinals (11-1)

simkon does not speak for canfield, our fans have and will show up. Weather last week hurt attendance for most games. This should be a game for the books, I think the location is near ideal.

Week 13: Division III Region 9 Semifinal #3 Ursuline Fighting Irish (10-2) vs #2 Canfield Cardinals (10-1)

Can anyone comment on the teams, weather, matchups, injuries, etc? Enough with the location please lol

    Week 12: D-III R-9 #10 Aurora Greenmen (8-3) at #2 Canfield Cardinals (9-1)

The whole front 7 is solid and fly around, and Lowry over top at safety helps

    Week 12: D-III R-9 #10 Aurora Greenmen (8-3) at #2 Canfield Cardinals (9-1)

Agree here with canfield not giving up a ton of points on D. Even in Canfield's only loss this year against a full-strength chaney team, they allowed only one offensive score.

    Week 11: D-III:R9 #15 New Philadelphia Quakers (6-4) Vs #2 Canfield Cardinals (8-1)

Although the last three opponents for Canfield have been in programs in shambles this year (with the exception of an average Boardman team), this Canfield team has been playing very well-rounded ball. These last three weeks have given Lowry and his WR basically in-game practice for the playoffs...

    4-1 Canfield @ 4-1 Dover

11 on offense, when in the game, is a threat out of the backfield. Canfields D has gotten better as the season advances

    Week 3: Poland Seminary Bulldogs [D-IV:R13] (1-1) at Canfield Cardinals [D-III:R9] (2-0)

The last one score game 7 seasons ago. I believe the gap will only get wider.

    Canfield at bellevue

I believe Canfields defense will continue to improve throughout the year. Linebacker play last week was solid, #27 and #11 fly around. Most of the DB’s besides Lowry are first year starters. The more game experience the better, I expect a low amount of points allowed by the cards defense this week.

Week 1. Canfield @ West Branch

Boardman is always tough but in the last 7 years it is hard to find a local team that has had the stretch that canfield has.
