In memory of Mason Boyd.

Mason was a dynamic young man and a member of the WMHS wrestling team, having come up through the youth & middle school systems.

Through a series of injuries, he was unable to wrestle in the Kevin Cleveland Memorial. Not wanting to just sit home, he took it upon himself to be team’s “breakfast guy”. However, that Saturday morning, he overslept and thus missed the bus.

He called his coach upon waking up and said he’d meet the team at Dublin Scioto HS and provide the breakfast. He didn’t make it.

In the wrestling room of the new Watkins Memorial High School is a shadow box with a singlet, and pair of shoes, and shirt with a quote that Mason had recently posted on social media. The memorial is fitting, and is #ForMason
