Southwest Districts thread

Western Hills beat Western Brown 57-51 and moves on to play La Salle not at West Clermont H.S. as but at Lakota West.

It looks like we have the first forfeit in the tournament as the Moeller Little Miami game is listed as "no contest'

It was reported Little Miami withdrew from the tournament. They were 0-13 on the season. Who can blame them.?

St. Xavier Goshen tournament game starts at 3:30 at West Clermont high school and will be live streamed, not sure if there is a charge or not. Anyone know?

The Bombers are using full court pressure and have taken a 62-35 lead after 3.

It's sectional semi-final time. There are five sectionals in Cincinnati and three in Dayton to make up the eight teams who will advance to the district meets at Princeton H. S. on March 6th.

I would blame them at least have the guts to take the loss. Little Miami isn’t the first winless team to play in the tournament but now they can lay claim that they are the most pathetic.
I have no idea but they did only play 13 games maybe covid issues. Also, lighten up Francis.

Moe gets 2 quarantine cancellation into the Sectional Finals---who gets quarantined next???

For the record, Withrow didn't win a game all year going 0-8 now 0-9 with the forfeit. Didn' we allow teams to opt out in football before the tournament started. Should we allow that in basketball? They would have to opt out before the seed meeting held the week before the regular season ends

Sounds they got hit hard by Covid. Maybe they thought they would get guys back. Moeller better off with a practice anyway.

If Lakota West and Centerville face one another in the district round, who gets to host?
You're getting ahead of yourself. They got to get there first. Neither team will host The District finals are at Princeton on Saturday March 6th.

Teams can opt out. Shroder did in D2 and SCPA in D4. Several more did on the girls side.

Not trying to be a jerk, but GMC has possibly shown a little dominance over ECC

West Clermont and Milford each had 1 bucket at halftime in their respective games.

Ouch.

ECC wasn't very good this year outside of the top 3 teams. For the most part the sectional finals in D1 are going to be GMC/GCL teams.

I totally agree about the ECC being down, with the exception of the top 3 teams. The Mason Walnut game was a very good game with Mason's experience showing in the last 2 minutes. The Mason kids made some big 3's to stay close down the stretch. The Walnut team has a very bright future returning 4 starters, including one of the best freshman in Ohio.

We're ten days away from Saturday March 6th when the district championships will be held, yet no sectional winners have been assigned to a site.
I checked the statewide bracket and it says TBA.
