Hoping to see a game closer to last night's D3 title game than the previous four title games. Clean, hard fought, no injuries.

Good luck to both teams.

Go MLC Cougars!

Play call by Lake a little suspect in second half. Need to show some different looks. If you want to run. Power I

Wow what a game! Those Cougars are fighters (for both sides)! 2 down and 1 to go for the area! Congrats on the first state title for Van Wert!

Great Win V.W. The last two games D3 and D4 have been Great Championship Games.
Congrats to LakeCatholic game well played.
Happy for the Van Werters. Enjoy

QUESTION - does Lake Catholic have a Page 2 in their playbook ? Van Wert won because they threw caution to the wind and started passing to get back into the game and kept on coming at Lake for the win. Lake flat out played not to lose and had their defense on the field damn near the whole second half. Qb left, Qb right and Qb middle. Sure they broke two - but Van Wert adjusted. Lake has nobody to blame but themselves. You are playing for a State Championship - you have to play to win. 90% of Lake's passes were on 3rd down and normally 3rd and long. Not very imaginative. Van Wert took the risk in an effort for the ultimate reward and it paid off.
