The answer to your question is yes. Oklahoma and Texas haven't even won the conference each of the last two seasons (Baylor and Kansas St), and neither participated in the Conference Championship Game (Baylor, Oklahoma St, TCU, Kansas St). The new Big 12 will be a better football conference than the Pac 12 - after UCLA and USC leave - and the ACC.
I have USC winning the Big Ten in their inaugural year, and probably most years thereafter. The Big Ten brought this onto themselves.

USC is getting a huge break with what they are saying the 2024 schedule will be. USC three opponents every year is UCLA, Nebraska and Northwestern. Compare that to OSU playing Michigan, Penn State and Indiana every year, USC has a head start every year.
It depends whether UCLA can keep their momentum and what Rhule can do at Nebraska long-term. I think Nebraska finally got the right guy in there.
Getting Michigan and Penn State, Ohio State has the toughest 3 game series than any other team in the Big Ten. USC should have got one of the big three as a guaranteed yearly game. Guaranteed highly rated tv game and would set up a good yearly rivalry game. Big 10 getting USC. Should take full advantage of it.
I wouldn’t be upset at grouping USC with UCLA, Northwestern and Penn State. That way they get their intra-city game, a traditionally solid Big Ten team, and a trip for their fans to Chicago every two years.
Every single Ohio State fan I’ve interacted with dislikes Big Noon Kickoff and wants more night games. I know the coaches do too as it’s difficult to get out of state recruits to a noon game in season when they play the Friday night before.
Everything about Big Noon Kickoff stinks except for Joel Klatt, IMO.
