Michigan's Next Head Coach

Well, it happened Harbaugh's leaving Michigan, at least on his own terms as opposed to what could've been a couple years ago. The question is who's next? Who's the next "Michigan Man." Does he need to be one? Does his departure mean a step backwards for the program, hopefully not as much as when they hired Rich Rodriguez.

Here's a list of potential candidates I could see:

1. Steve Clinksale (current assistant DC)
2. Jesse Minter (current DC)
3. Matt Weis (current assistant OC)
4. DJ Durkin (2015 DC/Current Texas A&M DC)
5. Pep Hamilton (2018 OC/Current Texans Passing Game Coordinator)
6. Mike Macdonald (2021 DC/Current Ravens DC)
7. Josh Gattis (2019-21 OC/Current Miami-FL OC)
8. Chris Klieman (Kansas Stats HC)
9. BIG STRETCH...Dabo Swinney (Clemson HC)
10. Matt Campbell (Iowa State HC)

Might laugh at Dabo, but what else left is there for him to do at Clemson? His personality fits right in with the B10. Plus a yearly matchup between he and Day would be great. He could definitely inject a lot of enthusiasm at Michigan.

The ACC television contract sucks compared to the Big Ten and Sec. Plus with the expansion of both leagues the ACC is getting left behind. Michigan would make sense.

If Harbaugh moves on it will be someone already on the staff, probably the defensive coach that is the best program manager in the near term. It makes sense as we move into a new era of NCAA football with the expansion.

As for Dabo he has a great deal with eared capital to run the program as he wants at a place that will allow him to practice his open brand of Christianity. No way would Michigan's Admin go for open baptisms at practice or using religion as recruiting tool. If he goes anywhere else it would be in the deep south.

Michigan is a VERY liberal school..... it would freak the Professors out at that school if they hired Dabo..... by the way, Dabo has a HUGE contract.... another reason he won't leave

i can see NUMBER 10 as the main go to guy

I would also toss in Chris Peterson, Jedd Fisch, PJ Fleck and Mark Stoops into the mix, though Fisch is probably the only serious candidate.

No way its a current assistant. There are some proven great head coaches out there would be more than excited to be the next Head Coach at Michigan

Harbaugh is a Jesus freak too.

Well I guess anyone interested will have to wait.
Read the comment, “I fully expect to be coaching at Michigan…” he’s giving himself an out with the vagueness in that statement.

Harbaugh a whiny little, thinks he knows it all BIATCH!! Harbaugh a “Jesus Freak and Omar “Biggest Dbag” on Yappi!! As an old friend use to say, it is what it is!

His politics are what they are. If they were causing that big of an issue in Ann Arbor he would've been canned long ago.

Harbaugh at Michigan will presumably be a double-edged sword from now until whenever he leaves. His NFL interest clearly never waned.

Sounds like this time around he's not going to second-guess himself and will take the best offer he gets at the next level.

This is what is wrong with this world. Everything would be fine if we were ALL as you call us Jesus freaks. Jesus is our Lord and SAVIOUR.
