Would you be OK if Trump called it on election night and prevented states from counting all the mail in ballots?

 
.....considering that the Leftist intend to turn our national election into the mother of all cluster messes, it don't matter. Call it, don't call it, it'll be decided by a joint session of Congress in January.
 
Not sure how Trump will be able to stop states from counting votes, sounds like a another fantasy from the perpetually unhinged crowd. Trump can yell and scream all he wants, doesn't have the power. The constitution says you can't count votes before election day, it says nothing about counting votes after* and historically, all votes were never all counted on election day. Trump can contest some aspects of voting; for ex, if a mail ballot is received after election day and does not have an official USPS time stamp before the end of voting in that state, that could be grounds to disallow the ballot. Also if the requirements for voting by mail are not met; ex, no signature, that vote cannot be counted.

I don't see what wrong with Bloomberg giving money to pay off fines for someone else; criminalizing that is a huge rat hole. Where would that stop?

He will declare himself the winner on election night. Then fight any attempts to count all the votes by discrediting states and mail in ballots. He is saying it out loud.

He HAD a great economy. A GOP House and Senate. He never testified (unlike Reagan, Clinton(s)) His ineffectiveness is his own failure.

You guys have basically given up on the core principles of democracy. Sad what the GOP has become....a cult.

So you don't like that we are upset with voter fraud, made up Russian collusion charges, and a fake impeachment by a House of Representatives whose sole purpose is to get rid of Trump ever since the Democrats took charge? I don't think that is the Democracy I learned about in school.
 
Hopefully the courts will decide this issue beforehand and spare us the drama.

But I see NO reason that someone voting by mail either with an absentee ballot or through direct mail voting should have their vote count if it arrives AFTER election day. It's the responsability of the person voting by mail to get their vote in with enough time to deliver it.

But yes in order to prevent ballot harvesting and post election fraud I would support any effort by the POTUS to disallow any vote that arrives AFTER election from counting.

If we can't trust the election process and we have to accept clear democrat cheating then we might as well skip the foreplay and go straight to civil war. What other recourse would there be?

Bloomberg is not buying elections. Citizens United is a much more egregious example of buying elections than a guy funding voter eligibility.

There is no proven voter fraud of consequence
Trump did collude with Russia and did obstruct justice. (For Christsakes he was building a trump tower in Russia and has been financed by russians for decades.
He was impeached for asking another foreign leader to participate in a quid pro quo in the election.
He also paid of a porn star he bar backed using russian campaign donations.

However, even if we ignore all of the above...you are fine with him declaring himself president with out counting all the votes.

Trump loves to exagerate and yes stretch the truth but the blatant lies spewed by the Democrats over the past three years coincide with their actual actions to try and undermine our Democratic Republic. On the flip side, when you look beyond Trumps tweets and speeches he's actually taking the right actions to Make America Grat Again.

Can you imagine the Front Page Headline News if Obama would have accomplished in the Middle East what Trump has accomplished? The MSM has been practically silent about what is being accomplished by Trump over there. But I guess you would rather have a President who goes around apologizing and kissing the derriers of foreign dignitaries like a good servant.

Except the vote is in on time. I support the casting of the ballot by a fixed date. A voting machine just captures a vote just like a mail in ballot. The machine is not the ultimate destination. There is plumbing (networks and systems) that allows that vote to be counted and aggregated. The mail system is just another method of plumbing. The speed or the reliability of the plumbing should not invalidate legal ballots no matter how they are cast. This is really not even a debatable subject. Any attempt to overturn States rulings on this should and will fail.
