PAC 2020

Per Chris Easterling, PAC mtg TUES to decide schedule. All teams were 3 home /3 away except CVCA (4 home) and Tulsaw (2 home) across last 6 origianally scheduled games so could be an easy meeting. Hopefully they don't over think it and just play weeks 5 - 10 from original schedule.

Because it's cathartic, some "just football" stuff:
Northwest & CVCA - two most talented returning rosters
Tuslaw - trying out 2 seniors & 1 soph at QB in the PM era (post Marthey)
Orrville - no Parks (yet)
Fairless - lots of experience returning. how much talent?
Loudonville - likely very thankful not to be an independent this year
Triway - Lost a WR to Wooster, gained a WR from bball team (youngest Wells)
Manchester - looks to be strong up front, but scoring could be tough to come by

If Parks has done anything at Massillion like has been rumored he can not play. Heard he was at practice that would make ineligible if he tried to come back to Orrville.

Weeks 1 and 2 determine who wins the league, gonna be a crazy 14 days

That schedule is not happening. Some schools wont start until the Sept 16th at the earliest. Most likely Oct.2 one week then head to playoffs. League games after playoffs. Talked to a superintendent and the schedule has to be approved by each school. Sad but true he knows of 2 schools that wont start until then at the earliest. I assume if you say Manchester is off 3 weeks they have to be one of them. Not sure of the other

Kudos to CVCA for flipping their game to at Tuslaw to level out Tuslaw's schedule. Nice to see league working with each other in difficult times.

Pit - ??? Why did they flip the Triway-Orrville game? Thought y'all played there last year? Same with Manchester going to Fairless again? Hopefully it's just a typo on the website. Aside from cancellations, the schedule only need a small tweek to get everyone a 3 & 3 split.

That is false!!!!! He could return as long as A. He currently lives in Orville district and B. He has not played in a scrimmage. If he moved to Massillon, he is eligible right away. If he still resides in another area and is open enrolling in Massillon, he can only play in the first three games without an OHSAA waiver.

I was just using the schedules posted a few posts above. I'll double check in about week or so when Arbiter is likely updated.

Pit- Heard that Triway’s #2 receiver left for Wooster & the youngest Wells boy is playing now. Didn’t know if that was true and figured you would know

Sounds like Manchester is not playing until 10/1 so all if their opponents week 1-5 have an opening.

Not sure when Manchester was planning to rejoin the fray, but they let the league know that they couldn't commit to playing from week 1, and they would figure out a schedule as they go.

They are supposed to resume practice on the 17th. As of now they are following the County Health dept. of starting their season on 10/1, depending on the Governor's announcement Tuesday.

According to the updated schedule for Orrville, the Sept. 25 game with Manchester has been replaced with a game against Kenston.

If Manchester does in fact decide to start the season when everybody else does then all schools have to honor where they would play them. Their was a school board meeting last night and I’m unsure how that went

I don't believe that's true, being that Manchester voided out the contracts for the updated PAC schedule it looks like they'd be out of luck. What the PAC could do would be schedule them weeks 7-10 for the teams that are knocked out of the playoffs or not participating in them

Think Shoot's right on this. When the OHSAA announced the 6 game season there was language about no penalty for cancelling contracts.

It is possible though that some PAC schools would WANT to play Manchester and back out of their fill in games. Probably not likely for the first few weeks. If those kids just started practicing on 17th can't see them being asked to play a game before week 3 or later. And they won't be able to get in a scrimmage. Bottom line, a tough situation is even tougher now.
