First time listening to this band other than some radio tracks..... Liked most of it. The UK version was more consistent while the US version had a lot more tracks I did not care for despite having one of my favorite songs by them on it.

Oh man, I just did not like this album at all and surprised that I actually rated it as high as I did. Only liked 3 of the 10 tracks and by far the worse Sepultura album I have heard.

Technical Death/Progressive Metal

Of all the metal genres out there my least favorite is Technical Death. I just do not like the guitars in this genre. I don't mind shredding but it is too much for me in this genre. That being said I decided to try it one more time. This band shredded but it wasn't constant as they definitely had a wide range of genre adding Industrial and Black Metal at times. I was able to find 2 songs on this album that I liked but I did not like this album overall.

Bell Witch teams up with Aerial Ruin to make this latest album. 5 tracks in which I liked 2 of them, 1 was just a prelude and the other 2 were OK but became boring as they did not develop into anything..... but that is Funeral Doom but this album had some acoustic guitars which was strange for this genre.

When it comes to REO I like Cronin much better than Murphy and Cronin singing Ridin' The Storm out live is 10 times better than Murphy but we have to wait until 1976 to get Cronin so I am stuck with Murphy on this album. I have not liked previous albums with Murphy as lead vocals but this one wasn't that bad as I liked more than half of the tracks.

Not sure if you have listened to it or gave it a rating? The album features the 9 minute epic Poast Toastee. Three months after the album was released, Tommy Bolin died of a drug overdose. His death devastated many young guitar players at the time. Some of the songs have a different beat. In case you want to listen to Poast Toaste:

Obituary's 10th album. Frankly it sounded more Thrashy than Death... maybe a Death-N-Roll but overall I was disappointed in this one only liking half the tracks.

Took a couple of minutes to get into it and right away picked up on the Jazz feel. This my first listening from this artist and liked 6 of the 8 tracks. I feel this is something I could get more into with multiple listens..... Really liked the guitar style.
