Claymont D-2 District Rankings (Off-Season #1)

I know that it’s early to be posting these, and we don’t know what next season will look like in the fall. Honestly, these are just for entertainment anyway, so I might as well post them during this empty period.

These initially rankings are just last year’s weights with the seniors taken out. I’ll start to move wrestlers around as the off-season progresses.

The freshmen are those listed in Boro Fan’s thread about incoming freshmen. Some were listed with 2 potential schools (and I just took a guess), so let me know if there are any that are mislabeled, or if there are any wrestlers who will be transferring schools.

I was asking because Miami Trace is the name of the high school, as is Zane Trace. Which are both local. Just wondering. Thanks for your work.

it’s going to be a Claymont again this year.W.H.C.H coach acted a fool at Claymont this year. Called state pissed them off as well. Already been talked about in Columbus.

Claymont puts on a great district and has a great gym and school.

How did that crazy coach from WCH act a fool and make the state mad?

Well apparently because I wrestled at WCH, you think I coach there. However I did have one of the 26 kids eliminated before weigh ins. And I liked My wrestler’s chances a lot of “making it Columbus”. Although we know that was just a myth anyway. I can’t say I disagreed with the “crazy coach from WCH” though.

Well the crazy coach made a fool of him self. If his team was as good as he ran his mouth you guys would have won the state this year. See u in Claymont next year

Well being in the room I don't ever remember seeing a coach get crazy with the doctor. As far as asking the doctor what he saw I saw plenty of the over 18 coaches doing the same asking the doctor . Seemed to me the doctor on the 1st day was out of his element especially when he did not realize wrestlers could only goto Ohsaa approved doctors with there skin sheet He seemed to be unsure .

As far the tournament went it ran smooth great job of hosting , but the skin checks were a joke at claymont on day 1 . Glad to hear the OHSAA was notified about the skin check problems on day 1 at Claymont . Glad to see the tournament staff realize that and clean things up on day 2. Doctors brought in for post season wrestling should have experience with wrestlers maybe he did but it looked bad from a tournament standpoint watching many wrestlers get turned away with skin sheets that were approved by Ohsaa approved doctors .

Tournament did run well though .

that pretty much sums up my perspective as well. And again ol’ bud, I don’t coach at WCH, but I believe he is correct in his statement, from start to finish. Claymont ran a great tournament, I could tell they were experienced. The refs were top notch. The skin check physician on day 1 dropped the headgear, for many, many wrestlers that worked too hard to be incorrectly diagnosed. The parent of my wrestler that got DQ’ed before weigh in, got her son checked by a dermatologist and as expected, it was an improper diagnosis at weigh in. So WCH coach, I agree you are crazy, but it don’t mean you were wrong. Thanks for bringing up the subject again ol’ bud, I was still stinging from the part where our qualifier didn’t get to compete, when I had another one that had a damn good shot but didn’t get to fulfill his senior year dream. Anyway. I’m sure Claymont will run another smooth tournament, but I believe they will have a qualified physician there this time. That is, if we get to wrestle again.

Oh so now he’s taking credit for a kid that traveled all summer off season camps clinics and didn’t do much work in off-season at the high school? He sat in the chair so he gets all the credit huh?

Well, obviously you don’t know a thing about the situation. This wrestler spent zero time working out in any offseason. I Can vouch for that. So try again ol’ bud. He only did wrestling during wrestling season. Try again.
