A good day for 'Hoosiers'...from a 2017 story - Decatur, Indiana’s ‘Hoosier’ Connection https://statelinesportsnetwork.net/2017/06/26/decatur-indianas-hoosier-connection

Decatur is just a short drive from the Ohio border. Gives you a good indication of why Hoosiers was so well done. About the same time Milan was winning the Indiana State title, a school close to Decatur made a giant impact in Ohio...the Willshire Bearcats - check it out

Like this thread. See a couple of family names on the Willshire roster, but not sure how close or distant those are. Growing up my address was Decatur, but lived outside between Rivare (Bobo), Pleasant Mills, Willshire, and Wren. You should check with Bob Adams about doing a story on the famous or infamous stall game between Berne and Pleasant Mills. I know one of the star players from Pleasant Mills from that game very well. (Some say I'm a spitting image of him).

I remember well the state tournament at the Cleveland arena. Arcanum fans I'm sure had no voice or finger nails after that weekend. In class A Middletown had a decent sophomore that year name of Jerry Lucas.
