Basketball season starts today! What are everyone's thoughts for 2019-20?

Triway and CVCA only had 1 senior on their rosters last year, and if I recall correctly, neither of them were starters. Both teams should be very competitive again this year. One of Triway's starting PGs also missed a good chunk of last year due to injury, so it will be nice to have a fully healthy team. I think the Titans can be very good this year, but the PAC-7 has been very competitive the last few years, and I expect this year to be no different.
 
Here's a look at some of the key players teams are losing/returning, from last year's 1st Team and Honorable Mention:

Orrville loses 1st Teamers Logan Domer (11.5 ppg, PAC-7 POY), Cayden McDaniel (12.5), and Ben Summers (12.1).
Orrville returns Honorable Mention player D'Vontez Brown (6.7).

Northwest loses 1st Teamers Luke Fennell (14.0) and Grant Baughman (11.0).
Northwest returns Honorable Mention player Kyle Luhring (6.6).

CVCA returns 1st Teamers Brett Carroscia (12.1 ppg) and Trey Williams (11.9), and Honorable Mention player Austen Williams (7.5).

Triway returns 1st Teamer Chance Wells (17.7) and Honorable Mention player Bryce Biggs (12.2).

Tuslaw loses 1st Teamer Zeke Yost (14.0) and Honorable Mention player Thomas Mummertz (10.4).

Manchester loses 1st Teamer Cameron Adkins (10.6).
Manchester returns Honorable Mention player Ethan Wright (10.2).

Fairless loses Honorable Mention player Jack Laney (12.5).
Fairless returns 1st Teamer Lucas Ruegg (10.0).
 
Now that all our football teams are out of the playoffs, it's officially basketball season. Games start this Friday - man, that came fast!
 
Hey thePITman does Triway only have a 21 schedule this year, or is there a game missing on there schedule

I was just wondering with high expectations for this team this season,I guess you thought they would have made sure they had a 22 game schedule, but maybe with the un expecded death of there AD might have had something to do with it

Sounds like the school is still looking for one home game. Yeah, it's been a busy year and a team effort for our administration and staff.
 
League action started last week.

Fairless (2-0) beat Manchester (0-2), 69-49.
Triway (2-0) beat Tuslaw (0-3), 62-58.
CVCA (2-1) beat Northwest (1-2), 54-48.
Orrville has not yet played due to football.

Terrible. Four sophomore starters and one senior. Good players quit or transfer for the last two decades but no one makes any changes in coaching? The list is LONG and this year is no different as the point guard transferred schools midway through the season (at 1-10 anyone surprised?). It’s difficult to watch my panthers but I’m alumni. Team has zero defense and replacement PG is tiny and had 5 turnovers in Q1 in the last game. The only play I see is to get the ball to the small kid who chucks up 3’s, he can’t get inside. Kid is not even 20% but if you throw enough up you’re bound to get one now and then. As soon as anyone covers him the game is over as the coach doesn’t have any other plays. All eggs in one basket. Maybe it’s time for Schindelwolf to retire if he's pinning all his hopes on one kid who makes 3 of 20.
