The Northeast District Cross Country placements are up.

Madison D2 girls should be: Chagrin Falls, Edgewood, Perry, Geneva, Field
Madison D2 boys should be West Geauga, NDCL, Field, Edgewood, Crestwood

Crestwood is at Trumbull.... Field girls are very weak at 4-5. I'd find it hard to believe they could make it through. Their 5 will kill them.

Crestwood boys are also a bit rough at 3-5, but Trumbull is rough all around.

Forgot they moved Crestwood this year, thank you!
I will go with Jefferson boys at 5 and stick with Field at 5 in girls(cant find anyone better!)

Woodridge boys won Medina in the D1 race. Those lovable dogs put 5 in the top 7 against teams like. Medina, Hilliard Bradley, Wadsworth, Kenston, Brecksville, North Canton Hoover, Rocky River, North Royalton and Nordonia.

Kenston didn't run varsity. Woodridge looked fantastic though.

Hudson boys #1 inD1? Is their 4&5 strong enough for that kind of ranking? I don't think so at this time.

I hope the Woodridge boys are not going to allow their 6th guy to run at District, 16:33 is embarrassing!!!!
It was nice of them though to allow Cloverleaf a couple of spots in both genders.

Speaking of Kenston, I heard from multiple sources that their girls will be shorthanded this weekend. Will it be too much for the #9 ranked team in the State to make it out of District??

Shouldn't be a problem. I would think their JV could make it out.

Let's see:
We have Shaker Hts. and Mentor plus Chardon and Mayfield who beat Kenston at their league meet. That places Kenston 5th with the lineup they ran at their league meet. That would advance. I don't see any other teams on the list that would beat them.

How shorthanded are we talking here?

How good is Shaker Hts. if their 5 was stronger? I only saw them once, but they looked a strong 5 away from really being good.

That does seem to be the case. Kenston's 5th was the difference in beating Shaker Hts. at U Wanna Come Back (Madison) a few weeks ago. I can't figure Kenston out. They have a different lineup every week. I was having a hard time figuring out how they were ranked so highly until I saw their results from U Wanna Come Back (Madison) which is their district meet course.

I always enjoy reading the posts this time of year. I do miss CVC as he used to preview all the NE districts and Start some good banter from all over the State. I think I will try to start some posts, but will not be able to hold a candle to some of you. I'm sure Psychodad and Mr. Slippery (and others) have some good ideas too. This is what I read when I can't seep at 2 am.... Which is almost every night during this time of year... and in May too.

I was afraid that might happen.... that's why I was hoping CVC would get a nice gig down south. Sounds like his wife enjoys some time away from him in the spring...Just Like My wife enjoys the homefront without me in the spring.

I need it explained to me how Chagrin Falls girls are ranked.

I'm not sure they have run their top 5 together yet this year. I'm sure they are good, but it's absolutely a wild guess at this point.

Clay is as smart as a fox. He won’t show his hand until he has to. He doesn’t care about any meet before the District Meet.

LCCC district places 3-7-9 for D2 girls (Tallmadge Beaumont Woodridge) and 1-4-17 for D2 boys (Woodridge Bay Cloverleaf). Any other district place 3 teams at state?

Cedarville -
Boys D1 went 10 12 15 (Beavercreek, Tippecanoe, Lebanon).
Boys D2 went 6 7 10 (Carroll, Waynesville, West Liberty Salem).
Boys D3 went 5 6 10 (Cedarville, Anna, Botkins)
Girls D2 went 5 10 11 (Oakwood, Tippecanoe, Springfield Shawnee).
Girls D3 went 2 3 16 (West Liberty Salem, Ft. Loramie, Versailles)
Girls D1 had two, but possibly three had Centerville qualified.

NEDAB needs to come up with a better way of assigning Districts. Looking back at this years results, there are teams that qualify through to the Regional that finish down in their league while teams that won the same league don't advance from another District. Are they going to go to seeding?
