Ohio entries for MMOC

Lancermania

Lancers lead the way!
Anyone know the Ohio entries for the Midwest Meet of Champions this Saturday June 8, 2019 in East Lansing, Michigan on the campus of Michigan State University.

I have heard that Kaylyn Heath and Serena Clark are running this weekend, but I don't know for a fact that they are running at this meet.

I have heard that Kaylyn Heath and Serena Clark are running this weekend....

Considering her health status Heath would benefit from taking the week off from competition, at least if they plan to go to the New Balance meet next weekend.

I am in communication with Rod Heath, head coach at East. He told me that both girls had invites for this weekend. He also said they were going to North Carolina next weekend. Because Coach Heath is a Bengals alumnus, he has access to more options for rehab.

lane4, Coach Heath told me to tell you he appreciates your concern for his daughter but that she cramped up in the 100m at Ross, no damage to her hamstring. He is a sincere guy and was not being sarcastic with his remark.
Kaylyn wants to run at MMC this weekend to get a 100m quaiifying time for NBON. Are you kidding me? She is the Ohio champion in the 100m with her PR time of 11.93 into a headwind and that's not good enough.

That's good to hear. My concern about running this week was due to seeing her with a big icebag taped to her leg after the meet last week, but obviously he knows his athletes.

It would be worthwhile for her coach to email the meet director explaining the wind conditions, and I'd include the zero wind converted time(11.69). I've known them to be pretty flexible regarding extenuating circumstances, and it certainly doesnt hurt that she's the Ohio state champion.

Here is what Coach Heath said about last week and the ice bag regarding Kaylyn.

Kaylyn didn't actually hurt her hamstring last week. It was tight before she ran the 200. That is why she backed off. She will be fine to run the 100 at meet of champions. In the 200 I mentioned she was tight... not Injured.. the ice was basically to make sure she was fine. She practiced the last 2 days and is doing well. I also do take her to the best people to make sure she is taken care of..

Here is Coach Heath's response.

I like that idea about contacting the meet director. I will look into that and see what comes of it. I hope they are good with it and that would be awesome. Good thinking Lane4

Lancer, As much as I want Alaina Sullivan to have a 12.13 in the finals of the 100. She did not make the finals. She did run a 12.33 in the 2018 final.
