David Minor 1985-86 Season:
A 6-6 forward, he averaged 21.3 points as a junior in 1985 and led surprising Purcell to the Class AAA (big-school) state title. Purcell, under first-year coach Jim Stoll, had been picked last in the Greater Catholic League. Minor scored 33 points in the 65-57 state final win over Mansfield Senior. He was second-team All-Enquirer and first-team all-Post. As a senior, he averaged 20.2 points and was first-team all-Post, Enquirer, district, AP and state.
Won the OHSAA State Title in basketball his Junior season.
Attended and played for Indiana University his Freshmen season, winning a National Championship. Transferred to Xavier to play basketball for two more years.
